My Experience with Essence Black Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner:

The eyeliner comes in a very sleek black coloured cylindrical tube. The product name is written on it in bright blue fonts. The eyeliner has a metallic blue screw on cap. No other product detail is mentioned on it. The applicator is the typical felt-tip type. The tip is soft and the applicator is of right length too, i.e. neither too long nor too short. It works nicely to line my eyes. Overall, the packaging is nice and sleek. Just through it in your purse and forget about it.

The colour of the eyeliner is not jet black but it is a nice deep black eyeliner. One swipe is good enough to give your eyes the intense dramatic look. It settles nicely to a matte finish. So, pigmentation wise also, it is great! Texture wise the eyeliner has a nice thin consistency. It glides so smoothly and effortlessly on my eyelids that it does not cause any tugging or pulling of the eyelids.

The eyeliner takes around 30-40 seconds to dry up completely. I had the non-waterproof variant of this eyeliner. This one is waterproof eyeliner. But, in my opinion it is not totally waterproof. Though it does not wash off with water but it does smudge with rubbing. The staying power is 4-5 hours. It starts to crack a bit after that. It fades a little with time but does not smudge too much.

Hence, it does not give raccoon eyes. Though it becomes difficult to take off most of the waterproof eyeliners and mascaras. But removing this eyeliner is not a pain. You just need a good makeup remover or even a normal wipe can remove it in one go. Overall, it is nice and budget friendly waterproof eyeliner from Essence.
