After reviewing a few lipsticks from the “Sheer and Shine” range from Essence, which turned out to be super duds, I got my hands on the trusted Essence Long Lasting Lipstick range. I did read a few reviews about this lipstick line on IMBB and so I decided to try the shade “Blush My Lips.” More details on this lipstick shade follows:

My Experience with Essence Blush My Lips Long Lasting Lipstick:
Packaging: The Essence Long Lasting Lipstick comes in a regular twist-up lipstick tube which is made of plastic and is black in colour with some beautiful detailing on the top of the lid. A color-coded band runs through the centre of the lipstick tube which makes searching this lipstick easier and fun. The shade name is mentioned at the very bottom of the lipstick and the shade number is on the top of the lipstick cap. The packaging is pretty and really adorable and the cap closes with a satisfying and loud “click” sound.
Color: The color “Blush My Lips” is such a gorgeous warm-toned fuchsia color, which I absolutely adore. It is a great shade for all different complexions and will brighten up the face It is a perfect shade to be paired with a neutral eye look or even as an everyday wear for work or college if you may. All in all, it’s a great colour for fuchsia lip lovers.
Texture: The texture of this lipstick is super soft and very creamy. It literally glides on the lips like butter. Frankly speaking, I am not a big fan of lipsticks that have a super creamy texture as they start gliding and feathering throughout the day. Since this lipstick is so creamy, it also feels quite moisturizing on the lips and does not dry them out.
Pigmentation: I would say the pigmentation of this lipstick is average but buildable to a good colour payoff. It gives a considerable coverage in one swipe and builds to a solid colour with a couple of swipes. I personally have no complaints with the pigmentation.
Staying Power: Here’s the good part! The staying power of this lipstick is what I was expecting a lot from since it’s called a long-lasting lipstick. It does stay on the lips for about 5-6 hours with some snacking, but then it has to be reapplied for maintaining the glossiness and opaque color on the lips. I have to top this lipstick off with a translucent powder every time I wear it to increase the longevity and to prevent it from feathering.
Quality: The overall quality of this product is a really good considering the pigmentation, packaging and price. I agree that the this baby is not a fancily packaged product, but that’s not a big deal as far as the quality covers up for the packaging.

- Easily available in drugstores and online.
Cons of Essence Blush My Lips Long Lasting Lipstick:
- Not available in India.
- Transfers a bit.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Essence Blush My Lips Long Lasting Lipstick?
Well, I would say if you like creamy and long-lasting lipstick formulations, or have no issues with setting your lipstick with powder, then go ahead and purchase it. I have bought a couple other shades to try out but I am not sure if want to repurchase these.
