My Experience with Essence Brush Cleansing Spray:

As much as I love my makeup brushes it is necessary to keep them clean. I have tried different ways to keep them clean. They do get dirty every other day and need cleaning often. While I was looking for some easy ways, I spotted this spray and picked it up.

Essence Brush Cleansing Spray

The cleansing spray comes in a transparent spray bottle. The cap is transparent and the spray nozzle is white in colour. The packaging is cute and handy. The spray is pink in colour and smells floral like roses. The usage is easy: you need to spray on the brush bristles and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then wipe it off. It makes the brushes 90% clean in one go; it is easily noticeable. My foundation brush was dirty and I wanted to try the spray. The difference can be seen. Even though the spray doesn’t clean the brushes as much as proper cleansing would, it still cleanses them wonderfully within minutes.

The brushes also smell fresh and feel fresh when used the next time. The brush doesn’t leave any residue and is fresh even if you do not wash the brush with water. Washing with water gives extra cleaning to the brush, though. For heavily dirty brushes, like foundation brushes, 3-4 sprays are needed while for normal brushes 2 sprays are more than enough for a good cleanse. I have used this spray cleanser on a sponge, but it doesn’t provide any great difference. The brush cleanser provides a fresher feeling than a traditional olive oil and baby shampoo cleansing routine. There is no wastage with this spray. You spray on the bristles and wipe the brush clean.

Initially, I would use a lot of sprays as I assumed that the brush has to be soaked wet. But after a few uses I realised that 2-4 sprays are more than enough to get the brushes clean and hygienic. I always prefer my foundation brush to be neat and I clean them every 3 days with this spray. The spray helps me keep my brushes clean. There is nothing negative I can think about this product. So far, I have loved this cleansing spray.
