Packaging:
The outer packaging is a hollow card paper case. The Coverstick is in a twist up form just like a lipstick. The product comes in a cream coloured, opaque, matte finish plastic case with a matching cap. The cap fits snuggly. The shade and shelf life are mentioned at the bottom of the product. The case doesn’t indicate the date of manufacturing, so you have to retain the outer cardpaper case. Despite being light weight, it is really sturdy. I have dropped it couple of times already and it is still in perfect condition! The quantity is good. The twist up format makes it really easy and hygienic to apply. According to me, it is a travel friendly case.

Shade Range:
It comes in 4 shades – 06 Matt Ivory, 04 True Nude, 01 Matt Sand, 03 Matt Honey (Lightest to darkest)

I must say the shade range is really limited. It could be very difficult for a lot of us to find the exact shade to match our skin tones.

Consistency, Texture & Blendability:
Essence Coverstick Concealer is really hard/thick stick. It doesn’t really glide on well on the skin. It feels kind of chalky too. But, application is easy due to the stick form. Forget using brush to blend it, it takes ages. Use your fingers to blend it, the heat from your fingers melts the product and helps it to blend well.

Essence Coverstick Concealer Review

It doesn’t crease for good 4/5 hours. But, that is only when you use a good moisturizing base underneath it. It is a bit drying product. So, it is good for oily skin and bad for dry skin which is contradicting with its good for all skin types claim!

Coverage & Finish:
The Essence Coverstick Concealer gives you light to medium coverage for dark circles. You can get a full coverage by building it up, but it kind of looks cakey if not blended REALLY well. I wish the product came with good blending properties. It tends to accentuate fine lines and pores. It leaves a slight white cast after application too. Maybe I have bought a shade that is a bit light for my skin tone. But, the next shade available was too dark. It works fine with blemishes and redness around the mouth and nose area. It gives a matte finish too, as claimed. I have a normal to combination skin type and it has never broken me out.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Essence Coverstick Concealer?
Considering the price, it does a fair job. But, I would prefer a better blendability. Moreover, a stick form concealer is not a bad investment, right? It is a good buy for beginners or girls who do not require full coverage.

Thanks for reading. Hope this review was helpful.
