Essence Denim Quattro Eyeshadow Review

Hello everyone,

I am back with another review. Essence products are really up to the mark, be it the mono eyeshadow or their lipsticks; affordable and amazing products. I bought this in a hurry because I desperately needed a blue eyeshadow for my sister’s wedding since all of us wore blue sarees. Though it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, it did not disappoint me at all.

Essence Denim Quattro Eyeshadow

349 INR for 5 gm.

Product Description:
Quattro eyeshadow – Quattro styles. Different textures ranging from silky shimmering to intensive shine ensure unlimited creativity with your eye makeup. Perfectly aligned shades, excellent color-dispersion and long-lasting results make the Quattro eyeshadow an absolute favorite.

My Experience with Essence Denim Quattro Eyeshadow:

The eyeshadow comes in a cute plastic casing. The cap looks a bit flimsy but it shuts with a click. It can be carried around without any worry. The details are given at the reverse side of the case. There are four colors of the pigments in circles and semi-circles. So cute!

I used this palette for my sister’s wedding for her makeup as well as mine. I did a gold and blue eye makeup to go with the saree. I got so many compliments from everyone for the makeup. I was on cloud nine 😛

Blue eyeshadow

Shade 1: This is a deep blue/navy blue color with very fine shimmer. It gives a satiny finish. The pigmentation of this shade is average though I was expecting more from it. I used this in the outer corners to give it more dimension along with a little black. This shade takes some effort to blend properly than the others.

Shade 2: This was the shade I made use of the most for the look. This is a bright cobalt blue with finely-milled shimmers. This shade is smoother than the rest and blends easily. I found it a little powdery which made a bit of a mess. Even this shade settles to a satiny finish. I totally love this shade among the four.

Blue eyeshadows

Shade 3: This is a black pigment with chunky silver shimmer. The pigmentation is very low for a black. It is a pain to even apply it rather blend it because of the chunky shimmers, I haven’t used this yet. The texture is a bit powdery.

Shade 4: This is a beautiful silver. The texture is so nice and smooth. For a silver, the pigmentation is lovely too. There was no fallout either. I used it for the inner corners, it looked quite festive. Even this one gives a satiny finish.
Without a primer, it lasts around 4.5 hours after which it fades, with a primer.

Blue eye makeup

I think it stayed for a good 8 hours on me! I am really happy with this; though I could complain about the no-mirror or applicator, but I don’t think I’d even use them. It was a pretty good purchase.

Eyeshadow swatch

In the FOTD/EOTD, I have used black and shade 1 on the outer corners followed by shade 2. Then. I have used a golden bronze color from my W7 In the Buff Palette, finished by shade 4 in the inner corners.
