Essence released Draw the line instant lip liners early this year. I picked up a few shades from the range and today’s review is all about Essence Draw The Line Instant Colour Lip Liner in the shade “11 Cherry Sweet”.

My Experience with Essence Draw The Line Instant Colour Lip Liner 11 Cherry Sweet:

The lip pencil comes in a self-sharpening plastic case. It has a black cap that closes with the click. The body color of the pencil denotes the shade of the pencil. The pencil is very sleek and is easy to carry around. There is no seal for the pencil so you need to be a little careful with selecting them. There is a wide variety of shade options from nudes to pinks to browns and I personally like the array of shades from this range. The price is easily affordable but the quantity is less and if you use them every day, they would hardly last for a month.

“Cherry Sweet” is a beautiful shade of red with Pinkish hints. I absolutely love the shade. It resembles very much to the Maybelline matte Ink Liquid lipstick in the shade Pioneer. The shade would suit any skin tone and for my wheatish tone, it immediately adds a radiance to my face. It is a perfect shade be it for a date night or for an office look. The lip liner gives you a matte finish.

The lip liner is soft and creamy and when you outline your lips, it glides very smoothly without any issue, but when you have to use it to fill the lips, it can be a hassle. If you have dry lips, the chances that it would pull is more. Due to its soft texture, even if you put a very little pressure on the liner, it easily breaks. I have been breaking many of these lip liners recently! It doesn’t provide you an even finish if you would like to sport only the lip liner. So, using the lip liner to well moisturized and exfoliated lips is mandatory. You can use a lip balm over to smoothen it out but, it does add a gloss and takes away the matte finish. There is a matching lipstick from this range so if you use them together, you can pull out a lot of benefits from it. The lip liner is amazingly pigmented and with a single sweep you can get the necessary pay off!

The product is transfer-proof and also does not bleed and this makes it a great product to use when you go out. It doesn’t bleed too which is a plus. The product is also waterproof and if you want to remove it, you need to use a good makeup remover or oil to get rid of the stain. The product lasts for a good 5 hours without any issue and I love the long-lasting capability with the affordable price. Overall, it is a good Lip Liner and I would definitely recommend it. So summing up
