My Experience with Essence Eye Make-up Remover Pads:

I prefer makeup remover wipes over creamy remover, so when I spotted these pads by Essence, I picked them up. It was affordable after all! The wipes come in a tub packaging. It’s easy storing wipes this way as they don’t get messy. The tub has 50 wipes in it. The screw cap is tight and doesn’t allow the wipes to dry out! I am not sure what these pads are made of, there is no information provided, I think they are made of cotton material.

The smell is a big turn off. The pads smell like rotten oil! I wish Essence had put some fragrance to it. The pads are soaked in oil. The pads have an easy grip to hold and remove the makeup. They can also be used to remove makeup off the face too. There is so much oil in this product! It can be a perfect choice for dry skinned beauties. These pads remove makeup effectively. Just two swipes and the eye makeup comes off. For waterproof liners, it takes a few more swipes, but it removes each and every trace of makeup. The product didn’t cause me any breakouts. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for face for oily skin. As it has oil in the remover pads, I remove the makeup and slowly massage the remaining oil on my eyes for added benefit. One pad is enough to remove even heavy makeup. It has to be followed up with a mild cleanser or else it feels super oily!

It did not irritate my eyes, but after application and before washing it off, I felt my sight went foggy. This is because of the excess oil. I have a dry patch on my eyelid and every time I removed my makeup, it used to hurt a bit and turn dry again, but with these remover pads, I hardly notice that patch and this is something I absolutely love about the product. The dryness around my eye area has also been taken care of. The pads look smooth, but as soon as you try to rub, the fibres pop out. Even though they do not leave fibre on the face, I wish it stayed smooth, but it does effectively remove my makeup and I have no complaints!
