The good news is that essence has added plentiful new products to its range and the bad news is that they have hiked the prices; not too much but they have. Now when I saw these cute glossy lipbalms online, I was so thrilled to have them. I waited few days for them to arrive in market but as they didn’t so far, I went ahead and bought them online.
Sweet lips: the pampering, light formula of the glossy lipbalms in fresh colors give your lips a gorgeous shine and it has a delicious fragrance, too! fruits are mixed with sweet delicacies to create fabulous flavours.

My views about Essence Glossy Lipbalm Mango Ice cream:
Texture, pigmentation and finish:
The texture of the lipbalm cum lip-gloss is very thick, creamy and moisturizing. It serves the purpose of a lip balm in an excellent manner. It particularly doesn’t make my lips soft but the feel of the gloss is smooth, non-sticky and light-weight. I don’t suffer chapped lips so I can’t give a word about the healing effect of the lip balm. The finish is glossy, without shimmer. I chose this one because I like pinks and non-shimmery glosses. The application is not a trouble; it spreads easily but one needs a mirror for perfect crease. It smells vanilla and is really sweet and delicious in taste. I wonder they added the mango effect in taste rather than in fragrance.
Looking at the cap of the lip-gloss, I expected this to be a coral pink shade but actually it is a subtle pretty pink shade. Coming to the pigmentation, it looks rich in swatches, but turns out to be sheer on application giving just a pink hue to lips. However, the glossy effect is not over the top, combined with the pink tinge gives a very natural look to the lips. This one I found to be most pigmented in the entire range.
The staying power turned out to be good in contradiction to my expectation due to low price tag. Describing briefly, the lip-balm survives even a meal, keeping the moisture but giving up half of the pink shade intensity. My lips stayed moisturized for about two hours with a meal. With just water, tea, coffee sips, it lasted 3.5 hours; the pink tinge faded evenly but my lips felt still moisturized.
Pros of Essence Glossy Lipbalm Mango Ice cream:
• Very moisturizing formula.
• Creamy and thick but non-stick & light-weight.
• Serves well the purpose of a lipbalm.
• Non-shimmer gloss.
• Very nice fragrance and taste.
• The staying power is good.
• Easy application.
• Low price tag.
• Travel friendly.
Cons of Essence Glossy Lipbalm Mango Ice cream:
• None except I wish the pigmentation was better.
As lipbalm: 10/5
As lip-gloss: 4.75/5
Repurchase & Recommendation:
I have got two of them, which were the only available non-shimmer among the six shades as shimmer is a bog no no for me. I highly recommend them; they are worth your bucks.
