It has been quite some time since I had purchased products from Essence. Recently, I came across many new products on the shelves of the beauty store, and I bought Essence Instant Matt Make-up Setting Spray. So, read on to know more.

My Experience with Essence Instant Matt Make-up Setting Spray:
Essence Instant Matt Make-up Setting Spray comes in a white coloured opaque plastic bottle with a transparent cap. The product is not sealed. The cap shuts with a click, making the product travel-friendly. The pump doesn’t come with a lock mechanism, so, one has to be careful with the cap else the bottle will get messy. The back of the bottle bears the entire product-related information. Due to its opaque package, you will not know how much product is left inside. Overall, the setting spray is lightweight, and the packaging is pretty satisfactory. However, at first, it is a little difficult to press the pump. I had to keep pumping for 5-6 times to get the liquid out.
The liquid spray is transparent and is very lightweight. It gets absorbed into the skin almost instantly and provides a refreshing effect to the skin. Not to mention, this is the first time I am buying a setting spray. The product can also be used as a primer. The spray is a fine mist, and 2-3 sprays are more than enough to cover my face. The base of the spray is water which explains the consistency and has a pleasant smell and doesn’t contain any fragrance.
The ingredients present are promising, and they do soften the skin and prevent moisture loss while mattifying the skin. The spray gets absorbed within few seconds, and it doesn’t provide that perfect matte finish, which is a little disappointing. However, the spray holds your makeup in place for a pretty long time, and I am happy with it. Also, the product does control the oily shine to some extent. You can also use this spray for touch-ups after a few hours, and it prevents the makeup from getting patchy. Overall, I expected a lot from this product after reading the review of Essence Keep It Perfect! Makeup Fixing Spray, but unfortunately, it is just an ordinary makeup fixing spray.
