Essence Lip Liner – Femme Fatale Review
Hello lovely ladies! How is everybody?

Today’s review is on a lip liner from Essence. I am hooked on this brand. It is perfect for college-going girls like me because it delivers quality products at reasonable price. It doesn’t burn a hole in my wallet and also it is cruelty free. Let’s get on with the review and see how it worked.
Price:

INR 129.
Shelf Life:
3 years.
Product Description:
The lip liner color ensures clear contours and beautiful, shapely lips. A practical effect: the lipliner is smudge-proof and especially long-lasting.
Ingredients:
Hydrogenated coconut oil, hydrogenated palm kernel glycerides, mica, cera microcristallina (microcrystalline wax), hydrogenated palm glycerides, myristyl myristate, rhus succedanea fruit wax, behenyl alcohol, hydrogenated coco-glycerides, cetyl palmitate, carnauba (copernicia cerifera) wax, hydrogenated castor oil, sorbitan palmitate, stearalkonium hectorite, propylene carbonate, tocopherol, lecithin, ascorbyl palmitate, glyceryl stearate, glyceryl oleate, citric acid, may contain: ci 15850 (red 6 lake/red 7 lake), ci 77491, ci 77492, ci 77499 (iron oxides), ci 77742 (manganese violet), ci 77891 (titanium dioxide).
Packaging:
It’s a wooden pencil lip liner which needs sharpening. The colour of the body is the same as the shade of lip liner. The pencil has a grey plastic cap which gets secured pretty well.
My Experience with Essence Lip Liner – Femme Fatale:
Femme Fatale is a French word and its literal translation is fatal woman. Females who are seductive and attractive, yet clever, a bit evil, and mysterious are femme fatale and this colour is true femme fatale colour. It’s a vibrant and bright red and very different from Red Bush from this brand. It has blue undertones which makes my teeth appear whiter (added bonus). It’s a bold lip colour, so definitely not for casual and laid back days. It has a creamy texture. The tip breaks easily because of it, but it glides on smoothly on the lips without any tugging.
If you have chapped/flaky lips, I suggest you to scrub your lips before applying this liner. The pigmentation is heavenly. It has matte finish. The staying power is good. It won’t survive a heavy meal, but without eating or drinking, it stays for good 5 hours.
Pros of Essence Lip Liner – Femme Fatale:
- Works great as a base for red and dark lipsticks.
- Affordable.
- Good pigmentation.
- Staying power is good (if used as a base).
- Makes your teeth look whiter.
- Purse friendly.
Cons of Essence Lip Liner – Femme Fatale:
Product wastage due to sharpening, I am fonder of retractable pencil liners.
Final Verdict:
I recommend this product and I will surely repurchase this. It doubles as lip liner and lipstick.
