My Experience with Essence Lip Liner Honey Bun:

The packaging is simple wooden pencil which needs to be sharpened. The pencil is small and can be carried along easily. The pencil comes in the same color as the shade; it helps in selecting the shade in this case it is a brown pencil. The name itself describes the color really well. This lip liner is available in 6 shades. This particular shade is a brown with pink undertones. This shade is 2 shades darker than my natural lip color and therefore goes with many lipsticks. This shade will be an mlbb shade for many and looks great when paired with a lip gloss or on its own. It does not dry out my lips and feels very comfortable and lightweight. The pigmentation is great and will cover pigmented lips very well. The texture is soft and creamy and absolutely no tugging. Even though it is soft it does not smudge at all. It blends very easily with a brush or a finger. The only problem is is is very soft and creamy and therfore, I have to be careful applying it or else the tip can break.

The finish it gives is a natural matte; it does not make my lips look dry or something and does not contain shimmers at all. It lasts for a good amount of time for 4-5 hours and with meals a little less. I tend to prefer lip liner over matte lipsticks, as they give the same finish on lips but are not as drying and heavy feeling on lips like the lipsticks and this one fulfills all my needs. It definitely extends the wear time of my lipsticks and lip glosses. And the best thing prevents them from bleeding and feathering. In all it is a great base for lipsticks and lip glosses and also on its own and also to pair with lipsticks that are little lighter.
