This lipgloss is not expensive but the color is very bold and a statement by itself. Red lip product is something which everyone should own and I love wearing it for every occasion. My Experience with Essence Lipgloss Shine Shine Shine 13 Red Carpet Starlet:
Packaging: The lipgloss comes in a typical plastic packaging with a metallic colored cap. The product can be used for 12 months after opening. The name of the color is applied as a sticker on the cap. The color itself is visible from the transparent packaging. The screw lid can be opened and closed easily. Overall packaging is good and travel-friendly. The applicator looks strong and is very stable to handle. The applicator wand tip is well designed and makes the application easy. One can reach the corners and edges of the lips without problems.
Fragrance: The fragrance of the product can be bothersome as it feels slightly fruity and one can smell the chemicals.
Color: The color is the selling point of this product. The color is bold, classic and the undertone is blue. To top it all, it has a totally glossy finish which makes the lips shine. But there is no glitter or shimmer, which I do not prefer. The color is to the point and suits mostly all skin tones. You can use it for all occasions and it is really fun to wear.
Pigmentation: The product is very highly pigmented and hence a little does all the job. Just one sweep and the lips are evenly colored bright red!
Texture: The texture of the product is very creamy and hence it can bleed. One has to be careful in choosing the amount of product one has to apply. Since its so pigmented a little is more than sufficient and it also prevents bleeding.The product does not settle on the lip lines or emphasis the cracked lips. The product does not feel sticky on lips. Due to the glossy effect, the lips look plump and juicy.
Longevity: The lip gloss lasts a few hours without eating or drinking. It does fade away with eating and drinking and reapplication is definitely required. Since the color is so bold, it shows off patchy after eating. My lips felt good when wearing it and also after using it. It did not irritate me in any way. Overall it’s a inexpensive lovely lip gloss.
