Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil 26 Deep Sea Baby Review

I recently did a haul of Essence products. I decided to pick up some colors instead of the boring everyday black liners. There were some new colors launched and I picked them all. Today’s review is all about Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in the shade “26 Deep Sea Baby”. Read on to know more.

Product Description:
Intensive and long-lasting color: with its innovative twist-mechanism, the long lasting eye pencil ensures an especially accurate and easy application with long-lasting results. In addition to colors like copper, berry and dark grey, it is now also available in trendy shades like gold, rosé gold and shimmering white. Nude-rosé can also be applied on the waterline to visibly open the eyes.

My Experience with Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil 26 Deep Sea Baby:

The product comes in a self-sharpening plastic case. The color of the case matches the shade. Also, if the case is shiny, it means that the shade inside has shimmer and if the case is normal, then the shade inside is matte. I like this concept. Also, the color coordination makes it easier to pick it up from the drawer full of such pencils. The cap also is of the same color and it closes with a click. The pencil is very sleek and you can easily put it in your purse. The case is similar to the Draw the Line lip liners and the only difference is the cap.

“Deep Sea Baby” is a deep navy blue shade with a frosty finish. The shade is beautifully pigmented and with just one sweep you can get the desired result. Since it contains shimmer, the shimmers do get everywhere which is a minus. There is no fragrance as such for the eye pencil.

The texture of the pencil is very soft and it is prone to breakage. However, this creamy texture makes it glide easily on the eyes without any issue. If it was hard, it would tug and pull the delicate area. I absolutely love how easily it glides over my eyes. The pigmentation is pretty satisfactory too. With a single sweep you can achieve a good look. My only concern is that after the sharp tip is used of, the end can get a little blunt and due to which the lines might be thicker. The product can also be used to smudge and create a smokey look. The product is not a good choice for waterline. It kind of fades away within an hour of application. Since it has shimmers too, I do not prefer to use it on my waterline.

I use this only on my upper oily lid and it stays there almost 5-6 hours which is pretty decent according to me. The product does smudge a little. But, this occurs only if you rub your eyes. However, if it smudges it leaves tiny glitters all over the area which can be a mess. The product doesn’t wash off with rain or water, but if you use a water based remover, it completely comes off without any issues. So, summing up.
