I recently picked up some loose glitter from Essence. There are 3 variants available and I picked up all of them. Today’s review is all about Essence 01 Party In A Bottle Loose Glitter. Read on to know more.
Price and Quantity: $3 for 1g
Loose glitter particles turn the nails into a trendy accessory that’s suitable for any occasion – either as a complete manicure or on individual statement nails.
My Experience with Essence Loose Glitter 01 Party In A Bottle:
The glitter comes in a cardboard outer supporting package. The product comes in a small glass bottle with a white screw cap. The transparent bottle lets you see the pigment right away. There is very little information on the bottle. I picked this up because I see many Instagrammers sporting the broken glass look and I wanted to try it. The product is very easy to use and there are clear instructions on the back of the cardboard packaging.
While the usage is easy, the application is a bit messy. You get glitter all around your house. The glitter is extremely thin and the flakes are like holographic cut pieces. The irregularly shaped pieces can make your nails look great. Always apply the glitter over a sheet of paper as it is easier to put the leftovers back into the bottle.
The loose glitter does not stick to the surface and thus you can put it back through a funnel and there is no wastage. Even though they look white when applied on the nails they have a holographic sparkle and shine in the sun. The product has to be sealed with a good top coat else the particles might scrap away.
The glitter has pointed edges. Even though they do not cause any issues during application they can be a little dangerous if you touch your eyes, so care must be taken. The product needs a little bit of work to achieve the broken glass look. The glitter builds up on the nails and looks a bit bulky and heavy on the nails.
The glitter can be used to create cool creations with darker nail polishes. There are several nail designs you can create using the glitter. But for me, this one felt a little difficult. You cannot play with this glitter. The product can be cleaned off using a brush after application. Since it builds up, there are chances that it kind of chips out and peels. If you seal it, the product stays for around 5 days and stays pretty intact.
So, summing up.
