Metallic lips are all the rage right now. The fascinating look is easy to achieve with this concentrated lip cream, which feels light on the lips and offers a velvety-matt finish.

MY Experience With Essence Metal Shock Lip Paint 02 Hemlock:
This lip paint comes in a cute little rectangular transparent tube with a black cap. The tube is small and is easy to pop inside the purse to use it on the go. The cap has the shade name and the tube has the ingredients list. This lip paint has a precise doe foot applicator, which helps in lining the lips easily. But, since the wand is very thin, we need to dip it quiet a few times to cover the lips completely.
This line has around 5 shades and everything is wild. They have black, grey, shades of blue and a purple. I chose the shade “02 Hemlock”, which is a vibrant purple with a deep bluish fushchia undertone. This is a very bright shade, which is really not for the weak hearted.
Now coming to the formula, though they are described as lip paints, they are actually highly pigmented lip glosses. The consistency of these are extremely light and feels very smooth and non-sticky on the lips. Though the formula is good, it is a bit streaky and patchy sometimes. The pigmentation is amazing. One swipe gives full opacity and the metallic effect is just awesome.
Since this is a lipgloss, it has around two to three hours of wear time and transfers on everything. There is also a lot of bleeding seen around the lips, as the lip gloss spreads a lot on the lips.
Overall this is an average product, nothing outstanding or excellent. You can actually skip this.
