Today’s review is about Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss in the shade 37 Miss Watermelon. I recently realised that I do not own a lot of lip glosses and hence there was a reason to shop for them. So, here is the review of one of them.

My Experience with Essence Miss Watermelon XXXL Shine Lipgloss:
The Essence lip gloss is very affordable. The packaging looks good from the outside. The applicator is also quite stiff and flexes a little when you apply the gloss on the lips. I have noticed that the print on the packaging disappears after a few days. The name also gets erased due to usage, making it hard to recall the name if you want to repurchase.
I always feel that the lip gloss bleeds. So I make sure that I apply a little quantity and then reapply, as needed. I also prefer to use lip gloss during vacations or outings and not to work. I prefer matte lipsticks for work but this is totally a personal preference. This lipgloss has a lovely shade of red. It’s not very bright and is perfect for all skin tones. The color is more on the warmer side. It has no shiny particles. The color actually suits my dusky skin tone. I used it during my vacation in India and got a few compliments. The color payoff is quite good. It hides pigmented lips well. The staying power is around 2 hours maximum, hence I always carry it around and reapply, as required.
The product also gets easily transferred while drinking or eating. But I guess that is the case with most of the lip glosses. Since I was on a vacation when I used this gloss, I didn’t mind reapplying every 2 hours or so. But this gloss isn’t practical for parties. The product has a mildly sweet fragrance to it. The fragrance lasts a few minutes and then it will not bother you. The lip gloss does not leave the lips moisturized. I have to moisturize my lips well during the night after using this gloss. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and the results. It’s not the best but does its job.

• Not long lasting
• Packaging is not great
