Essence Mono Eye shadow: Greyhound (64) Review

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

How are you all!!! Lately I have been really busy due to the festive season and thanks to the weather and pollution which made me ill ๐Ÿ™ , I wasn’t able to write. But in these days I have tried on some new products that I brought few days before Diwali. Today I will be writing about another Eyeshadow from Essence. I have 3 of the essence mono eye shadows and I have already written about the shades John Lemon and Get Ready. Today the shade that I will be writing about is called Greyhound .

Essence Mono Eye shadow Greyhound 1

My take on Essence Mono Eye shadow Greyhound:

Colour: As the name clearly suggests, Greyhound is a shade of grey, but it actually is a purple toned grey, with finely melted silver shimmer particles. The particles are so minute that they are difficult to see in the pan and only make the shadow look pearly in the pan. The particles can actually be seen only when the shadow is blended on the lid. Greyhound is a kind of colour that can be used for creating a daily look or can also be used to create a more dramatic eye look.

Pigmentation: The colour is decently pigmented, itโ€™s not too good but is neither too difficult to work with. 3-4 coats of colour are required to get a decent looking grey colour on the lid. Pigmentation appears to become a little better, when a white base is used beneath the shadow.

Texture: The shadow is buttery soft and is super easy to blend. I liked the fact that the shimmer particles are not felt while touching the colour nor do they make the lid heavy. Thankfully the colour does not crease on my lids.

Staying Power: Staying power of the shadow is average. The colour does stay for around 3-4 hours, but after 4 hours there is a huge decrease in the intensity of the colour, as compared to the intensity when it was actually applied.

Packaging:ย Like all the other Essence Mono Shadows, this too comes in a round packaging and round pan with a transparent lid. A semicircular pattern is embossed onto the top of the shadow which makes it look pretty. The packaging is sturdy enough to protect the shadow from breaking. Transparent lid also makes it easier to recognize the actual colour from a bunch of shadows.

Would I Buy Essence Mono Eye shadow: Greyhound Again?

Personally I liked the colour, but I am not too happy with the staying power and the pigmentation, so I may not buy it again.

Do I Recommend Essence Mono Eye shadow: Greyhound?

I would not recommend this to people who are regular users of eye shadows, but for beginners who want to try new shades, while still taking care of their pockets, this is a good colour to try.
