Essence Mono Eyeshadow – Get Ready Review

Essence Mono Eyeshadow – Get Ready Review

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Since the days I started doing makeup, I have loved eyeshadows and my craze for them has grown over the years.  I have a good collection of eyeshadows, and I don’t think that any girl would need this much, but as I like using them, I buy them. Today also, I will be reviewing an eyeshadow from the brand Essence.  I have heard about this brand, but never thought of trying it.  Compared to some other brands, Essence is pretty affordable and so a few days ago, I bought some products from this brand. The shadow that I will be reviewing today is one of their singles and the color I have is called “Get Ready!”

Essence Mono Eyeshadow

Price:

Rs. 199/- for 2.5 gm.

Packaging:

These single eyeshadows from Essence come in a little round pan placed within a round transparent container. The brand name is written on the top of the lid which is quite sturdy yet easy to open. Though the container is sturdy, I don’t think that it can protect the shadow from breaking if the shadow falls from some height. The overall packaging is simple, sleek and travel friendly. I am crazy about cute-looking makeup and the design made on the shadow attracts me towards these.

Ingredients:

Essence Mono Eyeshadow

Product Description:

Mono Eyeshadows with a high pigmentation guarantee a colorful start to the season. Whether shimmering, matte, metallic, or even holographic, the essence shades create unique effects on your eyes and give your final look an extra special touch.

My Take on Essence Mono Eyeshadow – Get Ready:

“Get Ready” is a shade of brown with some golden shimmer particles. The shimmer particles can easily be seen in the pan, but they are not very obvious on the lids, they do not make the color too bold, they only help the color to give a beautiful sheen to the eyes. I am not sure about why this name has been given to this shadow, but I interpreted that as it is a brown, I can use it every day for my crease while getting ready and hence the name is appropriate for the color.

The color has a good pigmentation, just two swipes of the color can give the most effortless look and the best part is that the look stays well for a decent amount of time. The color can stay on the lids easily for 3 hours, after which it starts to fade. The color does not crease at all; it only fades and that too evenly.  It’s really easy to blend and it feels really soft and creamy to apply.

The only problem I have with this eyeshadow is that it has fallout issue due to which a lot of product gets wasted during application.  Also, if not applied carefully, it might fall underneath the eyes, ruining the face makeup. The only solution to this is to apply the shadow really carefully and to tap off any excess powder in the brush before tapping it onto the lids.
