Today I am here with my first ‘Essence’ review. I am just loving my Essence products, I just got floored by the affordability of these products, they hardly have make up products which would cost above Rs. 500, at the same time they do not compromise with quality of the products as well. Let’s continue with the review.
Product Details: Electrified eyes… the popular mono eyeshadows ensure color highlights on your eyelids and are sure to give all girls that extra-special added touch.
Ingredients: MICA, TALC, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, BIS-DIGLYCERYL POLYACYLADIPATE-2, ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, DIISOSTEARYL DIMER DILINOLEATE, ISOPROPYL ISOSTEARATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, TIN OXIDE, PHENOXYETHANOL, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77266 (BLACK 2) (NANO), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE).
Price: INR 199 for 2.5 gms.
Packaging: Some may find the packaging not up to the mark, but for me it’s the best one. It comes in a completely transparent small rounded container; I mean the lid including the body of the shadow is transparent, with the brand name written in large fonts on the lid, the lid closes with a click sound, which ensures that it’s tightly closed. You’ll find the shade name written on the back. All over the packaging is travel friendly and sturdy.
My Take on Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Olive Garden:
Shade: The shade ‘Olive Garden’ is a satiny olive color with golden undertones to it. The shade is almost very close to the shade ‘back to khaki’. The golden undertone in the shadow makes it a very suitable shade for every Indian skin tone and also gives a warm glow to the color. The color when worn looks like an antique gold color and hence this kind of color is very wearable shade for office and colleges.
Texture & Finish: The eyeshadow has smooth, soft & satiny kind of texture to it; it applies smoothly on eyes and is very easily blendable. Rather it’s not super creamy but still has a smooth texture to it, not chalky at all, so there are no chances of fall out. The shadow gives a nice finish on eyes.
Pigmentation: The eyeshadow is decently pigmented, and the color is very much buildable, it won’t cake up after layering. The intensity can be increased in 2-3 swipes, but the color pay-off in just 1 swipe is also good. I use Vega Eyeshadow brush to apply it and in just 1 swipe I get the fullest color on eyes.
Staying Power: The shadow has very decent staying power; it lasted on my eyes for 5+ hours, without using any primer base. After 5 hours a little fading can be noticed, but the color is still noticeable on eyes, the shadow doesn’t creases at all.
Pros of Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Olive Garden:

Cons of Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Olive Garden:

Will I Recommend Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Olive Garden?
Yes, off course, I don’t know why, but I love Khaki or Olive colors so much, may be because they suit my skin tone so beautifully, by just giving the right pop of color. These eyeshadows are a bargain, you must not miss it.
