I just bought new eye shadows. These are my very first ones. So I stuck to regular shades. Let’s get to the review!
Price: 199 INR.
Packaging: Essence Eye Shadows come in transparent plastic round box with the logo printed in black on the front and the back side, which has all the details about the shade name, number and so on. The flip cap clicks to lock which ensures that the product remains safely inside the shadow pan. Overall, it is a very travel friendly and convenient packaging.
My Experience With Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Starlight 03:
Colour: Starlight is a glittery silver shade, which I absolutely love! The glitters are very finely milled. There’s less glitter and more silver colour in it. Most of the silver shadows I’ve seen have more glitter content. This one’s perfect.
Texture: The texture is very smooth and silky. The eye shadow feels so light on my eye lids. There’s some fall out when you use it from the pan, but once on the lids, it stays put. It is also easily blendable with fingers.
Pigmentation: The shade is very buildable. I like it that it is not very overpowering. If you do not want too much silver on your eyes, just a single coat will suffice. I think if swatched twice, the colour is enough for a subtle look. No one wants to look like a disco ball, right?
Staying Power: It easily lasts 4 hours, without a primer. So I think it’s got good staying power. I did not expect Essence shadows to last this long, but did!
Summing up the pros and cons,
Pros of Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Starlight 03:
- Pocket friendly
- Amazing colour
- Good quantity
- Easy to blend
- Smooth texture
- Good staying Power
- Nice secure packaging
Con of Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Starlight 03:
Some fall out while using from the eye shadow pan.
IMBB Rating: 4.5 / 5.
Final Verdict: It’s a must have in every one’s make up collection. Very versatile shade. It’s not over powering, but at the same time it’s a very buildable shade. This with some black winged liner would look stunning on anyone! Also, it’s pocket friendly at 199 Rs!
