Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Strawberry Ice Cream 68 Review

Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Strawberry Ice Cream 68

Hello Girls,

Hope you all are doing well! I have my exams from next Tuesday onwards, and here I am writing another review in my ‘Study Break’ time! He he… 🙂

This eye shadow is one of the Essence products I picked up. I love the name of this shadow! Let’s see how it fared for me!

Price: INR 199.

Packaging: Typical Essence Mono Eye Shadow packaging of transparent body with the name of the brand in black, at the front. The shade name and number and some other details are at the back. When you open the shadow, you see the gorgeous pan filled to the brim with the product. Must admit that opening the eye shadow get’s a little difficult sometimes. It closes with an audible click, I love that sound though. 🙂 It’s very convenient and travel friendly packaging.

My Experience With Essence Mono Eyeshadow in Strawberry Ice Cream 68:

Colour: As the name says ‘Strawberry Ice cream’, it’s a soft pink colour with tons of silver glitter in it. When swatched, it almost seems white and silver glitter. The pink hardly shows up, which is indeed a disappointment.

Texture: One thing I’m loving about Essence eye shadows is their texture. So far, the texture is so smooth! It doesn’t feel heavy at all on the lids. There’s hardly any fall out from this shadow. Since these are glitter based ones, I expected a little fall out here and there, but boy! These do not budge at all! I’m loving these shadows! These eye shadows so far, are very blendable. They blend in so easily!

Pigmentation: Strawberry Ice cream looks like Vanilla ice cream with glitter when swatched. 😉 Unfortunately, the pink comes up when swatched like 5-6 times. Of course nobody would do that on their eye lids. The pink even if it appears, is a very muted baby pink shade. It is buildable, but the pink doesn’t show up as much! It still appears a bit whitish.

Staying Power: Another thing that I’m loving about these Essence Eye Shadows is their staying power. They stay upto 4 hours and even longer without a primer. They do fade a little bit, but it’s hardly noticeable. With a primer, it would easily last so much longer.

IMBB Rating: 4.3 / 5.

Final Verdict: It’s a good shade, but the name should’ve been Vanilla Ice cream since the pink doesn’t show up. I’d recommend you all to try out their other eye shadows. I love these shadows, especially for their price, which is very affordable for such good quality.
