My Experience with Essence My Must Haves Eyeshadow 08 Peach-Party:
The ‘My Must Haves Eyeshadow’ range currently offers two customisable empty palettes: a 4-pan and an 8-pan. We can choose from 20 eye shadows, 5 blushes, 3 lip powders, a pink lip base, a highlighter, a bronzer and a fixing powder.
The selection of colours and finishes is amazing. I initially chose only 3 eye shadow pans but didn’t pick any palette. After trying those products, though, I picked up one more shadow and an empty palette to fill the 4 pan palette.
The single pans come in small cute cardboard sleeves. The actual pan has a transparent lid, which you have to remove before popping these pans into your empty palette. The shade details are given at the back of the pan as well as on the cardboard sleeve.
The palettes aren’t magnetic, so you just have to click the pans in and you’re good to go. The palette itself looks and feels very basic and simple. There are little inserts in the palette which make it super easy to pop the pans out whenever needed.
The single pans are of average quality, we need to be careful while using them. The shade 08 Peach Party is a stunning shimmery pale peach color. This is a beautiful shade, which gets applied very easily without being chalky. It blends very easily, too.
This shade is not powdery and feels buttery smooth when applied. This shade offers good pigmentation and there are no fall outs. The staying power of this eye shadow is also pretty commendable; with an eye shadow primer, it stays in place all day long.
I have tried the eye shadow without a primer as well and it stayed in place for around 6 hours. The size of the pans is comparable to Makeup Geek eyeshadow pans. It’s a great size for eye shadows but may feel a bit small in a palette along with other product.
If you’re using bigger face brushes, these pans are definitely on the small side and your brush wouldn’t fit in there. So overall, I am really impressed with these shadows and the cool concept of an affordable, customizable palette. I will surely pick up other products from this line.
