My Experience with Essence My Must Haves Eyeshadow Have A N’ice Day:

Let’s begin with packaging of the product – this eyeshadow comes in a tiny, round, black-colored plastic pan with a clear lid. The lid bears the brand’s tagline embossed on it, but the packaging of Essence Must-Have’s shadows is a bit different from other regular Essence ones. These are comparatively smaller and they can be carried along during travels and also can be customized in an eyeshadow palette as well. The lid of the pan closes nicely but it does not shut too tightly and may come off in your makeup pouch. The clear lid helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash. The simple round pans are easily stackable.

The back of the pan has a small circular sticker bearing the shade name and number along with other necessary information about the product. It does not come with any applicator, but this is not really a con for me, as I do not prefer those small sponge applicators that are usually provided by cosmetic companies. Overall, the packaging of the product is fine, but these shadows must be securely packed if you travel with them.

“Have a N’ice Day!” is a soft and shimmery baby blue shade. The color is subtle and hence it is suitable for both daytime and night-time wear. This shade is loaded with loads of fine silver-colored microshimmer which imparts a subtle, shimmery effect to the eyeshadow. The shimmers are so finely milled and the blue color is so dull that the eyeshadow looks almost silver in color with bluish hue. The color looks lovely as a lid color. A tiny bit of this eye shadow looks nice as inner corner highlight. This shade is suitable for creating party looks. It does not have that stark bling effect. The formula is decently pigmented. Just two swipes are good enough to build up decent color on the eyes. The shimmers in the eyeshadow do not look over the top or gaudy. The shade is very light and suitable for fair skinned beauties only. It would glow like a disco ball on deeper complexions.

The texture of this eyeshadow is soft and smooth. It has a velvety feel to it. It is non powdery and does not have any fall out during application and blending. It glides effortlessly on the eyelids and it is really easy to blend the eyeshadow. It does not get patchy. The eyeshadow does not have the tendency to crease. I have normal eyelids. My eyeshadow looks pretty fresh and does not crease even after so many hours of application but I do put an eye primer underneath to help my eye makeup last longer. These eye shadows are not waterproof and hence they fades away when it comes in contact with water. The longevity of the eye shadow is somewhere around 4-5 hours on my eyelids with an eye primer underneath. Overall, these eye shadows come with decent quality.
