My Experience with Essence My Base Skin Perfection Make Up Base:
The primer comes in a small nude coloured tube with a silver pull open cap. The tube contains a pump dispenser. At first I was happy to see that the tube has a pump dispenser, but it is not effective in use practically. It does not dispense the product easily. I had to pump 10-15 times or more to get the primer out. So, I am highly disappointed with the pump packaging.
The face primer is light orange in colour with very fine shimmers in it. The shade will suit all skin tones. The orange colour looks too bright at first, but when blended properly, it evens out the skin and looks normal. The shimmers are so fine that they are not visible once it is blended.
The texture of this primer is thick and creamy, but it blends easily. Just a pea size amount is sufficient to cover the whole face. This primer is basically for smoothening and moisturizing the skin. When I use it as a tinted moisturiser, then it simply evened out the skin and did nothing for coverage. It maked my face look shiny and a bit oily. So, if you have too oily skin, you must stay away from this face primer. Dry skin beauties may find it as good face primer.
I have combination type and acne prone skin, but I did not face any breakouts. When I use it as foundation base, it slided easily and gave a dewy finish. It evened out the skin tone.
Overall, I am happy with this face primer, as it does not break me out, but the pump is a huge disappointment.
