Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Today I will be reviewing a blush from Essence that I brought from Dubai last month. I went to Dubai in the month of November and I was hoping to shop for lots of products as I assumed them to be cheaper than India. But unfortunately, the prices of many products were higher as compared to India, which confined my shopping to products that were not easily available in India. The blush that I will be reviewing today is one of the blushes that I never saw on any online sites in India. These blushes come in 2 color variants and I brought both of them. The one that I will talk about today is called Heat Wave.
Product quantity: 8 Gms
AED 22 i.e. around INR 385
The blush comes in a transparent square shaped packaging which is very sturdy and travel-friendly too. The packaging is easy to open and the transparent lid makes it a product that can be used to decorate the vanity.
Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, May Contain: CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), CI 45410 (Red 28 Lake), CI 73360 (Red 30), CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (Iron Oxides).
Essence is bringing a cool and unique blush with a color gradient to the beauty stores. The silky, semi-translucent texture with subtle coverage gives your cheeks a gorgeous, fresh look.
My take on Essence powder Blush Heat Wave:
Heat wave is not a single colored blush, but it is a mixture of 3 different colors. The colors are arranged beautifully in an ombre effect starting from orange from one side and gradually changing to pink. The center color is actually a mixture of orange and pink. The blushes can be used individually as 3 different colors or all the 3 colors can be swirled to get a single color. All the 3 shades are matte and are completely free of any kind of shimmers. Thus they can easily be used on any occasion.
All the 3 colors in the blush are decently pigmented, but care has to be taken while applying the color and a light hand must be used, else you might end up looking like a joker. The same is especially true for the orange shade and when all the 3 colors are swirled together.
It is a powder blush and hence is not very smooth in texture. Though it does blend easily, but it does not feel soft while applying. Whenever all the 3 colors are swirled, a lot of product might get wasted due to fallout and extra product picked by the brush must necessarily be tapped off to avoid a very heavy look.
I am amazed with the staying power of the blush. The blush easily stays for 4-5 hours without touch-ups. The intensity of the color does fade as the time passes, but some color can still be seen after 4-5 hours.
Pros of Essence powder Blush Heat Wave:
• Amazing pigmentation
• Great staying power
• Sturdy & travel friendly packaging
• 3 different colors in the price of 1
• Easy to blend
Cons of Essence Powder Blush Heat Wave:
• A lot of product might get wasted due to fallout.
• Not available in India.
• Not a very smooth texture.
Would I buy Essence powder Blush Heat Wave again?
No! Considering the pigmentation and the amount of product used in one application, it would honestly take me years to finish this one.
Do I recommend Essence powder Blush Heat Wave?
Yes! It is a complete worth for the money spent.
