Today I will be writing about another ombre effect blush from essence cosmetic. As I mentioned in my previous post, I have 2 of these, one is called Heat Wave and the other one that I will review today is called Pinky Flow.

Product Quantity: 8 gms.

Price: 22 AED (Approximately equal to 385 Indian Rupees)

Packaging: These Essence blushes comes in a transparent square shaped packaging with a large square pan. The blush has a flip open lid, which is not so difficult to open but is sturdy enough to protect the blush. I personally liked the packaging as it is doing complete justice to the beautiful looking color by not hiding it.

Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, Alumina, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Phenoxyethanol, May Contain: CI 45410 (red 28 lake), CI 73360 (red 30), CI 75470 (carmine), CI 77491 (iron oxides), CI 77742 (manganese violet), CI 77891 (titanium dioxide).

My Take on Essence Powder Blush – Pinky Flow:

Color and Pigmentation: Pink flow, as the name clearly suggests is a blush with shades of pink. The blush basically has 3 different shades of pink starting from a very light shaded pink to a bright pink. But these shades are not properly separated, instead they are arranged in such a way that they give an ombre effect. The blush is entirely free of shimmers and is perfect to get a pinky look. The best part about this is that as it contains multiple shades of pinks, these can be used to get an everyday wear look as well as a party look. All the colors are highly pigmented with the darkest color being the most pigmented one.

Texture: The color is not very satisfying as far as the texture is concerned. The colors do blend well, but they are not smooth to apply. They actually sometimes might be feel chalky but thankfully this not affect the way they look on the cheeks. All the 3 colors, especially when swirled together look beautiful on the skin and they do not look drying or chalky on the cheeks.

Staying Power: The company says that the blushes will stay all day long, honestly saying, I haven’t tried the blush for a complete day, but I must say that they do stay for a good 5 hours. There might be some fading in the color intensity, but at the end of 5 hours, you still will be able to see color on your cheeks.

Overall for me, it was a good worth for the money.

Cons of Essence Powder Blush – Pinky Flow:

• Not available in India
• Swirling effect might cause fallout which wastes a lot of product
• Texture is not very smooth, might appear chalky when swatched with hand

I already have both the colors and so I won’t need more. 🙂

Yes! If you are a pink lover, then you must have this. It is a decent quality blush with an affordable price range.
