Essence Pure Skin SOS Spot Killer
Hello everyone.

Today I will be reviewing a spot killer which claims to visibly reduce spots and blackheads and thus provide an even complexion overnight. Well, most of us suffer from breakouts during that time of month. I tend to touch my pimples and break them which leaves a nasty spot behind for weeks. I wanted an overnight treatment for pimples so I bought this essence product. Well read on to find out how this worked for me.

Price and quantity: KD 1.500 (approx INR300) for 7mL
My experience with Essence Pure Skin SOS Spot Killer:
The product comes in a glass bottle which is small in size and hence is travel friendly. The product inside is in liquid form and is opaque white in colour. It has a brush type applicator, same as the one found in a nail polish. The bristles look cheap and are quite rough. The liquid smells like acetone based nail polish remover but it is not overpowering and the smell fades away once you apply it on your face. It does not sting my sensitive skin.
Once you apply it on your face, it dries in 30 seconds. The liquid is opaque white in colour so you can apply it only at night as I am sure you do not want anyone catching you with white marks on your face 😛
I applied it at night and the next morning I did not see any of my spots fade. I applied it on my pimples and saw that it did shrink the large red pimples to a smaller size but the small pimples that were coming up stayed the same size. I used this continuously for 3 nights and could not see any results. However my sister used this and her spots did start fading after 2 days but very lightly. It also claims that it is highly effective against blackheads but I wouldn’t comment on it as I do not have blackheads.
Pros of Essence Pure Skin SOS Spot Killer:
• Liquid dries in 30 seconds once you apply it on your spots.
• Will shrink the huge red pimples overnight.
• In-expensive.
• Small in size and travel friendly.
Cons of Essence Pure Skin SOS Spot Killer:
• Does not fade away spots overnight. It did not fade away my spots even after I used it for 3 days continuously but it did fade my sister’s spots after 2 days use.
• Will not act on small upcoming pimples.
• Rough cheap looking bristles of the applicator.
• The liquid is white and leaves an opaque coat on face when applied.
Will I re-purchase it? No.
Do I recommend it? It did not work for me but worked slowly for my sister. So I would say that it works for some people. This product cannot guarantee you spotless face overnight but with frequent use some people might get lucky.

Oh no, how terrible! *nababana* Thanks for the review, Dhivya! 🙂
Interesting. It did wonders on my face. I applied it on Friday night and on Saturday morning I could see a massive difference.
Definitely does a good job in removing BLACKHEADS. I wouldn’t say it does a good job with pimples. I tried removing blackdeads with it and I must say it works even if you let it sit for 10 minutes
it is antibacterial though, I think it is good.
I don’t like the applicator, either.
I think it it worth trying it as it is cheap and small.
Oh and I want to add that it removed all my scars
For the actual pimples it removed the redness and it reduced the size. But nothing interesting for pimples
so I guess they should have said it is a product for scars and blackheads
