My Experience with Essence Rock’n’doll Duo Stylist Eyeliner Pen:
Packaging: The liner is slim, cute and definitely attractive. The cap shuts with a click and makes it easy and safe to carry about even in your pockets. I like the quirky font on the body of this pen style liner.
This eyeliner pen is slightly different from the usual felt tip liners we have. Consider it a hybrid between a ball point pen and a felt tip pen. The ball is slightly large and initially poses challenges to perfect application.
The color is jet black, but you need to shake it well before use to get the liquid flowing till the ball. Otherwise, the first point of the stroke will not be pigmented enough. I use the felt tip in a slanted way to get precise clean strokes which are super pigmented.
I sometimes add a couple of dots after my liner ends to give a slightly creative touch to my look. If you regularly do creative looks, this one will be helpful as you can create circles or dots easily. It stays well on my oily eye lids for 6+ hours without a primer.
It can be removed with an oil-based remover or a good micellar water. On the flip side, this eye iner doesn’t show up very well if you are applying it over an eyeshadow and you would need to go over a couple of times to achieve the desired opacity. It doesn’t smudge or crease and its intensity fades slightly after the fifth hour.
For the price, it’s definitely a bargain buy. If you get the hang of it, you will find yourself reaching out for it way too often.
