Essence is quite an affordable drugstore brand which has some hits and misses. I do swear by some of the Essence products, but some have just not worked with me. Today, I want to talk about a product that belongs to the “disappointing products” category from Essence. This is a colour=correcting stick called “Say NO to Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer” in the shade “30 Bright Rose.” Let’s see why this did not work for me.

The Essence Say No to Dark Circles concealer is a must-have for a flawless face! Just say yes to a perfect complexion!The color correcting rose shade hides dark circles for a quick solution. The silky, soft texture in the retractable pencil is easy to blend and its compact size makes it a practical beauty tool on the go! Not tested on animals.

My Experience with Essence Say No To Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:
Packaging: The packaging of the product is simple yet effective, and easy to use. Since it comes in a twist-up stick form, it is easy to apply and much hygienic than concealer pots and pans. The full body of the concealer stick is made of plastic which is colour coded to the concealer shade. The stick contains 2.9 grams of product and has a shelf life of 12 months after opening.
Color: “Bright Rose” is a light pink-coloured concealer which is supposed to be used for your under eye area and especially cover the dark circles. The name is so gosh darn deceiving!! Bright Rose…really Essence??
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this baby is great, as it delivers a full colour payoff in one swipe. The disappointing part is after it has been blended. The pinky-salmon colour just disappears after blending and is as good as no colour correction! So basically, this does not solve the purpose for which it is made – hiding dark circles!
Texture: The major disappointment is the texture of this stick. Once applied to the under eye area and blended, not only does it disappear, but also glides away with the highlighting concealer used on top of this Essence colour corrector stick. It has such a weird texture which mixes with the highlighting concealer and does not set at all. No matter how good a primer do you use underneath, this baby will just not work. Even after trying all tricks with this product, my dark circles were still visible and the product creased badly.
Longevity: The longevity is terrible as this starts creasing after just one hour of application and fades away. I had no option but to take off my makeup and re-do it after an hour!
Pros of Essence Say No To Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:

- Super affordable.
- Easily available online and in drugstores.
Cons of Essence Say No To Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:
- Not available in India (should be a pro – no one needs a product like this).
- No visible colour after blending.
- Does not cover dark circles whatsoever.
- Terrible texture.
- Terrible consistency.
- Terrible longevity.
- Feels terribly heavy under the eyes.
- Creases terribly.
- Deceiving shade name.
- No amount of great primers or setting powders would make this product work.
- Accentuates fine lines under the eyes.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Essence Say No To Dark Circles Colour Correcting Concealer Stick?
Hell No!! Steer clear of this product, ladies. This is a huge dud by Essence. I dislike it and don’t even know what to do the remaining product, let alone re-purchasing.
