Today, I want to talk about a product that belongs to the “disappointing products” category from Essence. This is a colour correcting stick called “Say No to Redness Colour Correcting Concealer” in the shade “Pastel Green.”Let’s see why this did not work for me.
Claim/Product Description:
The Essence Say No to Redness concealer is a must-have for a flawless face! Just say yes to a perfect complexion! The color correcting green shade neutralizes redness for a quick solution. The silky, soft texture in the retractable pencil is easy to blend and its compact size makes it a practical beauty tool on the go! Not tested on animals.

My Experience with Essence Say No To Redness Pastel Green Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:
Packaging: The packaging of the product is simple yet effective and easy to use. Since it comes in a twist-up stick form, it is easy to apply and much hygienic than concealer pots and pans. The full body of the concealer stick is made of plastic which is colour coded to the concealer shade. The stick contains 2.9 grams of product and has a shelf life of 12 months after opening.
Color: “Pastel Green” is a light pistachio green-coloured concealer which is supposed to work on redness, especially to cover the pimple marks or in general redness on the face.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this product is great, as it delivers a full colour payoff in one swipe. The disappointing part comes after it gets blended. The colour just disappears after blending and is as good as no colour correction! So basically, this does not solve the purpose for which it is made – hiding redness!
Texture: The major disappointment is the texture of this stick. Once applied onto the skin and blended, not only does it disappear, but also glides away with the concealer or foundation used on top of this Essence Colour Corrector Stick. It has such a weird texture which mixes with the concealer or foundation and does not set at all. No matter how good a primer you use underneath, this baby will just not work. Even after trying all tricks with this product, my imperfections were still visible and the product creased badly.
Longevity: The longevity is terrible as this starts to crease after just one hour of application and fades away. I had no option but to take off my makeup and re-do it after an hour!
Pros of Essence Say No To Redness Pastel Green Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:

- Super affordable.
- Easily available online and in drugstores.
Cons of Essence Say No To Redness Pastel Green Colour Correcting Concealer Stick:
- Not available in India (Should be a pro – no one needs a product like this).
- No visible colour after blending.
- Does not cover redness whatsoever.
- Terrible texture.
- Terrible consistency.
- Terrible longevity.
- Feels terribly heavy on the skin.
- Creases terribly.
- Not suitable for most skin tones.
- No amount of great primers or setting powders work to make this product work.

Hell No!! Steer clear of this product, ladies. This is a huge dud by Essence. I dislike it and don’t even know what to do the remaining product, let alone re-purchasing!
