Of lately, I have had a lot of nail products from Essence and this top coat is the last one I have with me. Being price effective, it is easier to buy and try. So read on to know more about the Essence Sweet Memories Vintage Style Top Coat.

My Experience with Essence Sweet Memories Vintage Style Top Coat:
One of the main reasons I bought this top coat was for a Retro party. My eyes set on the vintage logo on it and I had to pick up the product. I always end up buying more than I need and so now I have a lot of top and base coats sitting at home!
The product comes in a white transparent bottle with a metal coated plastic cap. It is easier to see what the product looks like through the transparent bottle. The packaging is good and travel-friendly. The brush is also very good and makes application easy.
The top coat is said to be a copy of the Instagram ‘Sepia’ filter. It is a clear transparent gel nail polish with copper-gold flakes varying in size. When applied, the coat gets dried fast and the flakes give a very nice effect to the nail polish. I do not know if it is really the vintage look, but a coat of glitters brightens up my nails.
The top coat is a little thicker than others. With the flakes, there is no even application and thus, you need to go 2-3 times to get that perfect look. It provides a protective layer on the nail polish and goes on for around 6-7 days without any chipping or peeling. It provides a glossy sheen on the nail polish.
Overall, it does a good job in acting as a top coat as well as in providing the “oomph” factor to the nails. The product is recommended for dark colors but I do not have any dark colors and the swatch is an example. One of the disadvantages of the top coat is that when removing it can be a hassle and the flakes are stuck to the nails and a bit of effort is needed to remove the flakes. But, other than that, it is a must-have product if you love glittery nails!
