Like velvet! With a soft, especially supple texture, the velvet eye shadows put the focus on the eyes. With a trendy, chequered embossment on the surface.

My Experience with Essence The Velvets Eyeshadow Almost Peachy:
Starting from the packaging of the product. The eyeshadow comes in the regular Essence mono eyeshadow packaging. There is a transparent plastic pan with a label on its base indicating the shade name, number and other details about the product. The clear lid shuts securely making an audible click sound making it fit for carrying around.
The transparent lid helps to easily spot the shade in my makeup stash. The brand’s tagline has been embossed on it in simple black fonts. It does not come with any applicator but this is not really a con for me as I rarely use those small sponge applicators that come along with eyeshadow kits. Overall, the packaging is pretty fine and I do not have any complaints with it.
“Almost Peachy” is a soft peachy beige shade. The eyeshadow is devoid of any kind of shimmer or glitter and it is perfectly matte. This makes it a great choice for everyday use. It enhances the beauty of the eyes without looking over the top. This is a perfect shade for highlighting the brow bone and it works as a good base for eye makeup. It looks subtle and nice. The formula is decently pigmented and the color builds up in just two swipes.
The texture of this eyeshadow is soft and kind of velvety smooth as the name suggests. It does not feel chalky or powdery during application. There is hardly any fallout issue with this eyeshadow. The quality of the product is decent for a drugstore brand with a decent price tag. It blends effortlessly on the eyelids and does not have the tendency to crease. The eyeshadow is not waterproof and easily fades away when in contact with water. The longevity is somewhere around 4 hours on my oily eyelids with an eye primer underneath. Hence, the lasting power is not really remarkable, but overall, it is a nice eyeshadow.
