I like the brand Essence because it is so easy on my pocket, has some really amazing products, and my local Ulta stocks up this brand. I bought this product as part of my recent Ulta haul and to avail free shipping, I had to add in a few less expensive stuff, so I added a few products by Essence and Rimmel which turned out to be good despite being an impulsive buy. Read on further to know why I am so happy with this product.

My Take on Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen:
This is the fourth felt tip eye liner I have ever used – the first one was Maybelline Colossal felt tip eye liner, second by Jordana and the third one by Eyeko – I had a good experience with two of them, so now I have become more confident in trying out felt tip liners by other brands as well.
Packaging: It’s like a thin marker pen, the kind that we use on white boards with a felt tip which is very smooth and does not have a rough sponge-like texture. It glides with equal ease on both tough skin of the wrist and the delicate skin of eyelids, but it is not as smooth as the Eyeko liner that I had reviewed previously.
Color: One swatch gives a translucent black color which can be intensified further with a few more swatches and set in an opaque finish.
Pigmentation: Like I mentioned before, it gives an opaque finish, but only after a few strokes; however, the best feature is that it dries very easily and hence it is easy to build up the color without it appearing patchy or streaky. The tip has to be placed at an angle for ease of application; unlike Eyeko eyeliner, it cannot be used perpendicular to the skin or on the inner corner of eyes for a more dramatic look.
Shimmer and Shine: No shimmer or shine, it’s a matte finish eyeliner.
Wear Time: This product is waterproof, sweat proof and tear proof, and has a decent wear time. This felt tip liner gives a precise line and is ideal for creating a winged eyeliner look.
This product is really good for the price, ease of application, and color payoff. It can be used to make thin precise line or a bold thick line, either way, it works well and is a good addition to my vanity.

Would I Repurchase Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen?
Yes, because it is good value for money and has made it easier for me to create winged eyeliner. I recommend it to all the readers who love felt tip liner for their user-friendly functionality.
