Essie Lovie Dovie

Hello everyone!

How’s your week going? Guess everyone is looking forward to the weekend! I know I most definitely am. Today I have a really fun product for you. It’s Essie’s nail lacquer in the shade ‘Lovie Dovie’. I am a massive massive fan of Essie! I was introduced to it in the US and was super glad when it came to London. I had to buy it from this place where I got my manicure done before, but now they’re available in drugstores. So thank you Essie. I assume all girls loving nail polishes truly appreciate your strategic business move.

My experience with Essie Lovie Dovie Nail Color

So I had purchased this along with a few other colours for my summer holiday in Mumbai, since I love how fun and bright it is. But I was so busy the whole trip, I didn’t even get to apply any colour out there, so I’m making up for it now.

It comes in a really cute clear bottle with the name Essie embossed in the glass as well as Essie written in white on the bottle. The shade is usually written on top of the bottle. I think that’s so much better than labeling them on the bottom as some brands do. Okay so let me rave to you about its brush. I am a HUGE fan of its brush. I have really small hands and I tend to keep my nails short out of habit since my coach would never let me keep long nails for football practice. So this brush is perfect for my hands size and the brush applicator itself is absolutely perfect for my nail size! I love how it easily glides on to my nails and it’s very rare that the colour escapes out of your nail while applying (this is a constant issue for me since my nails are teeny tiny).
Now let’s get to the colour. Like I said it’s a gorgeous flamingo pink with blue undertones (or how my baby sister likes to call it- the barbie nail polish), it’s so fun and bright to wear during the summer with gorgeous maxi dresses and shorts. It would look absolutely stunning when you apply it on your feet and wear open foot sandals. This nail varnish has a cream finish to it and I am usually a big fan of such finishes.
The formula of this polish as well as all other Essie nail polishes has never failed to disappoint me. It’s of a really great consistency. This nail varnish has a cream finish to it and I am usually a big fan of such finishes. It’s not to thick nor is it too runny on application. You easily achieve an opaque look with one single coat, but I would suggest you to apply at least 2 coats to achieve a richer colour.

This nail colour actually has a great staying power, I would say that it lasted me for a week without being chipped at all. And I would have the same comment for all Essie nail varnishes I have used in the past, cause of its great formula. Another thing that I absolutely am overjoyed in regards to their formula is that it is Toluene and Formaldehyde free!
