My Take on Essie Penny Talk Nail Lacquer:

“Penny Talk” was part of the Essie Mirror Metallics 2012 Collection. It’s been in the market for a long time but for people residing in India, it is difficult to get a hand on these. As soon as I could, I bought this one of a kind shade.

Shade:  Penny Talk is described as a metallic copper. It appears different in the bottle than on the nails. On the nails, it turns out as the most beautiful and perfect rose gold nail polish ever seen. You just can’t stop staring at this lovely colour once it is on your nails.

Brush:  The brush is flat and makes application of the nail paint smooth. It deposits the right amount of nail paint on the nails.

Pigmentation:  The pigmentation is great. It goes opaque in a single coat. Two coats give a better finish and lasts longer. The brush gives a non-streaky application. The drying time is really impressive too.

Staying Power:

Though the nail polish gives an opaque finish in one coat, it has an average staying power with one coat. With one coat, the paint starts chipping in 2-3 days. In order to increase the staying power, a top coat can be applied or two coats of the nail polish can be used. This will prevent chipping till 5-6 days.
