My Experience with Estée Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm Review, Swatch
Let me start by saying that I am going to introduce you to the best cleansing balm I have EVER Tried. It’s the Holy Grail mothership. It is sooo good.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm comes packed in this super simple translucent sturdy white jar with gold screw cap. The packaging looks minimal and luxurious. It is a solidified balm. I mean when you open the new pack you’d wonder if there is clean film on top of it but no that’s the actual product. It looks like a coconut oil in solid form. You scoop a bit out this solid balm and it melts…like literally melts as soon as it comes in contact with the skin. It gets to a lovely emollient form that is easy to move on the skin without causing any stretching, pulling or tugging of the skin. It melts on your skin and almost forces you to give your skin a little pampering massage. Plus it is soooo effective it removing every last trace of makeup from your skin..even the long staying waterproof ones.
On contact with water it turns milky and thin. Then you can rinse it off with water. It rinses off completely without leaving any trace of makeup / residue behind. You might have to go over your mascara with an eye makeup remover once more to remove every last trace. But on days when there is only a light coating of mascara, it gets rid of that as well. It has never caused any breakouts on my skin or any sensitivity to my eyes. It does not have any prominent fragrance but if I sniff tooo hard in the jar, I can smell a mild lavender.
It leaves skin soo soft and clean.Your pores feel clean and your skin feels fresh. After using it you actually feel that it has deep cleansed your skin. You don’t need a lot of product to use in one go. Although it is a big jar, I’d still say that it is a great travel companion because the product is in solid form. You don’t have to worry about any spillage. Even in this extreme heat, the balm is still in solid form.
It is one of my favourite products from 2016 so far. 🙂

This is the little demo of how this balm works. You’d notice how melt(y) it has become when I rubbed it on my skin. And at last you’d notice absolutely no trace of makeup behind. I used a clean tissue to remove it. But when you’d use it on your skin, you’d rinse it with water.

  1. It seems to work like magic and also it reminds me of clinique cleansing butter which has the exact same consistency Rati 🙂

  2. I remember buying the Clinique one after reading its review on IMBB and it’s so good. I never wanted it to get finished. This one is also looking soooo good. Now I want this one too. 🙂

  3. The only solid cleansing balm i have is the TBS which i picked specifically for travel. But this one sounds intriguing. I have never seen this at my store…maybe it is a new release…
