Estee Lauder Cyber White HD Advanced Brightening BB Creme SPF 50 Review

Estee Lauder Cyber White HD Advanced Brightening BB Creme Spf 50

Hi Beauties,

I am so glad to meet you all again, after a short gap of around two weeks, during which I went on a trip with my family. After coming back, I have been inundated with work, and now that the initial work load is off my shoulders, I am all geared up to again start writing reviews. Everywhere I went, I purchased a few makeup and skin care products. Though I have stopped using BB creams available in India (since I was not satisfied with any of them), I could not stop my eyes from wandering towards this product; which I am going to review today.

My experience with Estee Lauder Cyber White HD Advanced Brightening BB Creme Spf 50

This product sounds like a television; doesn’t it? HD Clarity!!!!
I actually laughed out loud when I read. This product is a recent launch of Estee Lauder, mainly for Asian skin tones (according to the sales personnel). However, as soon as she took out a bit of the product…I almost shrieked..no..no..no…this is pink(cool) toned. How can it be for Asian skin??? The lady gave me a sweet smile, and did not force me into trying it out. She calmly rubbed the product on the back of her hand, and I looked on in disbelief!!! The lady had a darker skin tone than mine (maybe around NC 45; I am NC30 btw, with very definite yellow undertones), definitely had yellow undertones, and the product just seemed to disappear into her skin, leaving no whitish or greyish cast. So then, I asked her to apply it slowly on my jawline, and it blended perfectly. She then proceeded to remove my makeup, applied a thin layer of moisturiser, and then applied this BB Crème. I instantly, completely and totally, fell in love, hook, line and sinker; with this product. My skin looked so beautiful and radiant, yet so very natural.

The product is a pricey one; but then it is ESTEE LAUDER. It comes in a silver color box, inside which is a light bluish color tube with a silver color lid. The tube is a small one,and can be easily carried in your purse without any danger of mishaps. The product itself, has a thin, runny consistency, with pinkish color. However, the lady at EL told me that this product is specifically made and marketed for Asian skin tones only and is available only in one shade. Strange, huh!!! Only a very small quantity of product is needed for covering the entire face and neck area.
I found it weird that it comes in only one shade. This One Color Fits All concept baffled me. However, I found it to be quite true. I have used it on myself, my mum, a few of my friends, and all of us have very different skin tones, however, it blended and looked beautiful and natural on each and every one of us.

I take a very small amount of the product on the back of my hand, and apply it as small dots all over my face, then use my fingers to blend it gently on my face and neck area. It blends well, gives a dewy finish, has a very sheer coverage, seems to blur out the imperfections and looks extremely natural on the skin. It sits very lightly on the skin, and does not seem to clog any pores as such. Sometimes, I set it with my Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder, but very often, I leave it as it is. If left alone, it sets on skin in 10-15 min, showing a most glowing face at around that time. The coverage remains intact for atleast eight hours(that’s the longest I have tested it), and comes off easily with a cleanser. It has become my most often reached for makeup product in the morning hours. Plus it has a SPF of 50, which means I donot have to bother with putting on another sunscreen. I have normal to combination skin now in summers, and I put the BB crème on top of my regular moisturiser. Very oily skin people may omit the moisturiser if they so wish. You may also apply it as a base for your foundations.

It does not transfer on mobile phone screens. It has not broken me out. It gives a dewy finish, which oily skin people may mind, but you can always set it with a translucent powder. It does not claim to, nor does it control oil. This will be extremely suitable for all skin tones, in all age groups, during the day as well as night for achieving a natural look. Very oily skin people may give it a miss in summers, but may try it out in winters. It will not cover any major skin imperfection, but then, that is the work of foundations and concealers. It hydrates the skin well (as it has sodium hyaluronate in it) and instantly gives a brighter and radiant look to the face.

Cons of Estee Lauder Cyber White HD Advanced Brightening BB Creme Spf 50

• One color fits all….????
• Is pinkish in color….please check out for yourself before purchasing it
• Expensive
• Limited availability
• Does not control oil
• May not be suitable for very oily skin types…especially in summers

IMBB rating: 5/5 (would have given 6/5, but for the price)

Will I recommend Estee Lauder Cyber White HD Advanced Brightening BB Creme: Yes, to all. But please, since it is expensive; do try it out yourself before purchasing, just to check that it does not leave any greyish cast on your face. For very dry to combination skin types, it is a very good product. For oily skin types, it is a good product if you work in AC fitted room, else you may keep it for winters. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the product. It does not make any tall claims, and does deliver what it promises.

P.S. I have attached a selfie at my work place taken on my iphone, atleast 5 hours after applying the BB Crème. I am only wearing the BB crème, lipstick and a bindi. This lipstick (though it is not my first choice for day wear) will be the next product I will review. I am wearing glares to protect from the hot sun, and my hair is tied into a very haphazard bun.

I enquired about the product. They say the name has been changed. Now it is called as “ bb creme spf 50 and brightening balm full cycle brightening” in crescent white range. Is it true?
