A few months back, in summers, I mentioned on IMBB that I was looking for a good sunscreen – I tried and tested 4 products in this span, but missed out on sharing the reviews online. I will do be sharing the reviews on these one by one. Its good that I am reviewing it now because I have the benefit of having used these in summers as well as winters – covering change in weather and skin itself.
I’m still not very comfortable with skincare reviews, so bear with me and do share feedback through comments! The first sunscreen product I review for you is Estee Lauder – CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum UV Protector SPF 50 PA

The product comes in a pale blue [lastic tube with a silver cap. It’s a normal no-pump tube with a small hole to ensure one can control the runny fluid coming out. The bottle comes packaged in a matching pale blue cardboard box. Both are pleasing to the eye.Being a small 30ml tube (the only size this comes in), product is travel friendly.
My Experience with the Estee Lauder – CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum UV Protector SPF 50 PA +++
This is a typical product for the fairness-fanatic Asian market. The Company has put down a number of claims ranging from, it brightening the skin, diminishing spots, non-acnegenic, non-irritating, fast absorbing, etc, etc, etc… These are tall claims. Does the product live up to them? Lets find out.First, my skin type – I’m a 36year young (I scratched “old” out – why write something which isn’t true!!!) female with oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Skin is oily in summers and combination in winters. The picked this product in my search for a good sunscreen rather than something to whiten or brighten the face. So, I will address the claims made by the Company individually.
As a sunscreen–It’s a Full spectrum (meaning not covering most like “broad spectrum” ones but actually covering all) UV protector with SPF 50 PA+++. Adequate sun-protection and full spectrum protection from UVA and UVB Rays! Great!
Its water based, so extremely lightweight, absorbs quickly and just disappears into the skin. No white cask, no greasiness. This has got to be the best I have seen in sun-screen protection. The foundation goes on it like a dream. Pls note, it does not work as a primer – it does not increase the longevity of your foundation but does provide a smoother base.
Since its water based, I feel it needs to be replenished soon as it will not stand up to sweat. In summers, I tend to use it alone – as a moisturizer cum sunscreen. In winters, I feel the need for a light moisturizer to go underneath this as it is too light-weight to provide adequate miniaturization to the dry areas.
Brightening Action / Spot Correction – Honestly, I am not into the fairness game but I do have acne marks and blemishes to want to test this out. In the time that I used this product, I felt It did diminish the spots and make the face brighter and took away the dullness. However, I will not say that the brightness is instantaneous. Its more of an effect over regular usage. Did my dark spots/blemishes disappear – not really. The new ones seemed lighter and faded. However, had little impact on the old ones.
To sum this up for you –
Pros of the Estee Lauder – CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum UV Protector SPF 50 PA +++:
1. Extremely lightweight
2. Absorbs instantly
3. No white cask at all
4. No sign of greasiness – not when you apply, nor later
5. SPF 50 PA+++ – Full spectrum UV protection
6. Face seems brighter (non-dull) over continued usage.
7. Fresh marks/Dark spots seem lighter
8. Did not break me out
Cons of the Estee Lauder – CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum UV Protector SPF 50 PA +++:
1. Did not work on older blemishes/spots
As an overall product 4.5/5
As a sunscreen – 6/5
Since my reason for buying this was for sun-protection, this is HG material for me. The fact that it works on dark spots is just an added bonus.
Will I repurchase Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum UV Protector SPF 50 PA +++?
Absolutely. I will still continue trying other sun-screens but this will remain a staple in my bag.
