Ok ladies, don’t kill me but I have another Estee Lauder Envy lipstick shade to share! In a line called “ENVY”, I had to pick up the shade called “Envious”. That to me should have been the signature colour. It’s the shade used in the marketing campaigns. Lets find out more about it.

Packaging:

The Envy lipsticks are in a classic square deep royal blue tube with top and base golden in colour. The top has Estee Lauder engraved on it, so does the inner tube. There is no EL etched on the actual lippy – that would have been a nice touch. The lipsticks come in a Royal blue cardboard box. The box is seal wrapped in plastic – ensuring hygiene and non-contamination.

My experience with Estee Lauder Envious Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick :

The Color: The shade which is the signature shade for the line, obviously had to be a shade of red. Described as “warm, bright poppy-red” is absolutely apt. The shade is bright poppy red with warm undertones and a luminous finish with out looking glossy.Its an easy red to carry as its not really neon-ish or too intense. Its like a happy red. The shade would look stunning across the spectrum of skintones and command a lot of attention. Since the colour is a little muted red, it should be easy to wear for someone who has been wanting to try red lips but have not given it a shot yet.

Texture:

As with all previous shades, the texture ifs light-weight, creamy, glides easily on the lips and hugs them with colour. I generally don’t have problem with bleeding, but the texture of these lippies is such that people would not have this problem, which is great for a red shade – as it looks ghastly when a red lippy bleeds. The colour hugs the lips, sculpting them perfectly, without accentuating fine lines. It was hydrating and very comfortable to wear.

Pigmentation:

Excellent pigmentation – 100% colour deposit in a single swipe. Love the saturated bold colour as you swipe the lippy on.

Lasting Power:

As I have mentioned before, the company claims 6 hours of full coverage. The lipstick definitely delivers on the promise and actually lasts a bit longer, leaving a residual stain which gives your lips another couple of hours of wear.

I’ve said it before and I am saying it again – this is probably the best lipstick formula in the market right now! You really have to splurge on this. And the best part is that there is such a variety of shades available that you will definitely find one which is more up your alley. I wore this for Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it!
