Hello Lovely Ladies,
I’m back with another lipstick review. Estee Lauder (my favorite brand) launched their matte lipstick and liquid lipstick collection in July this year. As usual, India is yet to receive the collection. I had a trip planned to Thailand and was hoping to pick these from there. Last time, the Estee Lauder Envy Shine lipsticks had been released in the South East Asia market even before they were released in the USA. So, I was hopeful. Though Thailand did not have all the colours available, still I was fortunate to be able to pick the colours I wanted. Neon Azalea was on top of the list. I did not even try the shade, I just knew I wanted it ever since I had seen swatches of it online.
Product Description:

Sensually soft and smooth, luxuriously comfortable. The lipstick bullet is shaped to sculpt the curves of your lips. The case feels like luxury in your hands. And with one click, case closed. Statement making creme matte color. Coverage is medium to full. Finish is cream matte.
Price:
$30 in USA.
Packaging:
The packaging for “Envy Matte” lipsticks is the same as the regular “Envy Line,” a classy square deep royal blue tube, with top and base golden in colour. The top has Estee Lauder engraved on it, so does the inner tube. The lipsticks come in a royal blue cardboard box. The box is seal wrapped in plastic – ensuring hygiene and non-contamination. And I love this part!
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color #210 Neon Azalea Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick:
Color: The color “Neon Azalea” is a bright fuchsia with cool undertones – just like Jomol requested! It really is bright and out there – not for the faint hearted. It reminds me of shades like Urban Decay Anarchy and MAC Candy Yum Yum. However, it’s not as cool toned as Candy Yum yum – it’s more wearable.
The brightness of the colour instantly lifts up the face and makes it brighter. Rest of the makeup has to be low key because this one will hog the limelight for sure!
Texture: I kind of expected the texture to be a little dry since it is a matte lipstick; however, the lipstick felt very light and glided too smoothly. The texture seemed even lighter than the regular “Envy” line. It has a nice satin finish, which settled to a semi-matte color in about an hour. However, it wasn’t the moisture-sucking dryness of a MAC Matte or Retro matte. It felt very comfortable on the lips.
Pigmentation: Considering the smoothness and lightness of texture, I was pleasantly surprised with its pigmentation. It was bang-on fully saturated pigmentation, full coverage in a single swipe.
Staying Power: It lasted for about 6.5-7 hours and the stain it left lingered on till it was removed with a makeup wipe. Overall, love these mattes.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Estee Lauder Pure Color #210 Neon Azalea Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick:
- A cool-toned bright pink.
- Sculpts the lips with insane pigmentation.
- Easy to apply from the tube.
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Color lasts for 6.5-7 hours plus.
- Feels totally comfortable.
- The color hugs the lips nicely – no feathering or bleeding.
- Hides lip pigmentation well.
- Luxe and classy feel to the tube and case!
Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color #210 Neon Azalea Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick:
- Availability across India.
- It’s not a full on dry matte. If that is your thing – say MAC’s Retro Matte – then you may feel disappointed with this one. So, I would advise you to try it before you buy it!
IMBB Rating:
5/5
The quality is impeccable. I love how comfortable it is on the lips and the color is to die for. I already have 3 more shades from this line to review – Unattainable, Shameless Violet and Stronger. Let’s hope I stop and that! Because to me, Estee Lauder lipsticks are extremely addictive.
Once they launch in India, I will try to get the swatches of the entire line for you – at least all the shades which get launched here 🙂

That’s like KK, that’s one hot fuchsia lipstick and you carry it awesomely!!
Thanks Jomol! Yes, this one is more me!!
KK, if you could swatch them all together, that would be great 🙂
I checked with EL. They have received the stock but not the testers. As soon as they get the testers in, i swatch them all.
Yay! They are available in India now. 😀 I have been waiting desperately for them. I am eyeing the shades Unattainable and Furious.
Not to be a bummer. But they haven’t received all shades. Just 3 pieces each of a handful of shades. Unattainable is there. Not sure about Furious. I’ll review it quickly so that you can take a call on Unattainable – on desi skin! In my humble opinion – its gorgeous!
Awww.. such a contrast color to your last reviewed shade.. its so bright and would be the statement colour if worn… you carry it really well KK…
Thanks Bhavani! Yes, both colours are pretty much at the opposite ends of the spectrum!
Love that hot pink color on you..never tried estee lauder
You must try Estee Lauder lippies – they are addictive. I wasn’t too impressed with their envy shine line but the original Envy, Envy Matte and the original Pure Colour line has some amazing shades!!
That’s such a bright peppy colour. I like it 🙂 I may be wrong but do you think this lipstick’s color is similar to MAC’s Pink Pigeon? Eagerly awaiting the review of Unattainable now. 😀
I’ll put up Unattainable soon Madhur. Im afraid i have very few MAC lipsticks – I don’t have Pink Pigeon. What i will do is, i will swatch this one against PP in MAC one day and let you know. Cool?
Yes!! Thank you so much. 😀 But how will you let me know?
I’ll leave a note here. Or you can look me up on FB – Kulpreet Kaur isn’t too common a name. N Im from Mumbai.
Love how you can carry each and every shade with so much grace KK. I loved the shade, so pretty and bright and can lift my mood any day, any time.
Yes, this one’s instant brightener! Love that. I don’t have to bother with anything else – this is the centre of attention!
woah! that’s once bright color and i absollutely love it. good to see you back, K. You look absolutely lovely. 🙂 totally want to give these a go. I thought they were yet to be launched! 🙂
Yup, bright it is!! I picked these from Thailand – from my experience, EL launches products there atleast 2-3 months before India. As of today, my outlet has got the stock of these but the testers haven’t reached them. Also, they have been advised to launch only in October. So i await more news on the launch date. Will keep IMBB posted.
N its good to be back!
Neon azalea is bright and funky shade but unattainable looks so lovely 🙂
Attainable is indeed a lovely and very flattering shade! The review is up…do check it out!
