Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush – Pink Kiss Review

Bonjour Cherie!

Today’s product is Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush in the shade Pink Kiss. The moment I spotted them on the website, I went gaga over them. The classy packaging was so magnetic that I wanted a minimum of five out of the 15 shades, but I am not the daughter of “King of Brunei” 😛 So, I restricted my wishes and intentions to just one shade for now rather than making myself bankrupt.  I will keep the rest of my blabbering for some other time and move to the review before you guys start skipping the paragraph.

My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush – Pink Kiss:

The packaging is dazzling.  The blush comes in a navy blue card box, carefully sealed, and inside that you get a classy golden, sleek box imprinted with blurred Estee Lauder logo. It closes really tight and it’s a bit tricky to open and lift the lid till you get used to it. The blush and brush are protected with a hard plastic cover. Everything is so pleasing, but the golden reflective surface gets ruined by finger prints. Overall, it is a lightweight, sleek, travel-friendly and lovely packaging, there’s also a small soft brush. It reminds me of royalty with modern finish, which I can’t explain, but you can see that in the clicks.

The blush powder is finely milled and well compacted. You will need a soft bristled blush brush for application because of the fine texture; harsh bristles will induce fallout of the product. With a good quality brush, fall out can be completely avoided. Texture of the blush is silky smooth and soft, so soft that harsh bristles totally damage the surface of the blush.  The finish is satin, which is actually barely noticeable and looks like matte finish, but actually better than a dead matte look. It just adds a hint of glow to your cheeks. The blush doesn’t enhance fine lines on skin or accentuate pores. Also, it doesn’t enhance dry patches. This is a super shade with no chalkiness.  This blush has never broken me out.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush Pink Kiss

The shade is a true pink shade with medium intensity and minute golden flecks. This shade of pink suits all skin tones – fair, light, medium, dusky; no matter which category your complexion falls in, you can pick this shade blindly and you will never regret. It has a subtle sheen which adds to the beauty of the shade. The pigmentation is superb! I really mean it.

A single brush swirl will pick up more than adequate amount of powder for your cheek. Either you need to blend it properly or if you are a novice, better tap off the brush before application or use a light hand on the pan if you want to look natural, but it’s not as if a full swipe will make you look over-the-top or a clown. The shade is adorable and even a bit heavy application makes you look a Barbie doll. The blush blends effortlessly making the application easy and flawless in one brush stroke. It doesn’t transfer to cell phones. Longevity is 7 hours minimum with a BB cream and light foundation.

With a primer underneath and proper base, this can last you as long as you wish. The brush is super soft and good quality, but the bristles aren’t dense enough to blend the blush. An attempt to rely on this brush will leave you with a streaky blush on cheeks. The only utilization of this tiny and cute brush is just for emergency touch ups. A full-sized mirror is also enclosed.

Final Verdict on Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush – Pink Kiss:

You can’t imagine how I much I have fallen in love with this blush! :P. Many lip colors have impressed me so far and carved a niche in my heart, but this is the first ever blush I can never think about departing with. This shade is going to last me long, so I will pick up some other shade in the next opportunity; may be a coral or neutral. Using a blush from Estee Lauder is a kind of an experience; a pleasure felt deep inside you. Give it a try and you will come to know what I mean to explain in words. Stay blessed pretty ladies.  Wait, forgot to share my haul picture again. Collectively, it includes Estee Lauder, Clinique and MAC products. Enjoy!
