You all know my deep love for reds and since winters are on their full charm, I had to update my holiday beauty vanity with all lovely charming festive red shades. Moreover, I am already impressed with the formula and texture of these liquid lip potions and believe that there can be nothing better for my lips than to treat them with these juicy, slippery lip potions. My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Strange Bloom Liquid Lip Potion:

The lip potion comes in an attractive opaque black tube packaging with a see-through patch on the tube to give you an idea about the shade inside. It comes with a curvy doe-foot applicator which helps with lining, filling in and delivering even finish on the lips. It does have a slight fragrance which does not bother me much. Overall, I like its smart, attractive and travel-friendly packaging.

Talking about my shade “Strange Bloom”, it is described as coral to red shade while I find it perfect blue-based red on my skin tone. Like any blue-based red, it instantly brightens my skin tone; thankfully winters change my pale yellow skin tone to more fair with a pinkish undertone which gleams and shines beneath festive shades. Like I always say, I am in love with the formula and texture of these lip potions for they never dry up like stains while they feel and look similar to any liquid lip color.

I find them a perfect hybrid of liquid lip colors and gloss which impart intense pigmentation as that of a liquid lip color while maintaining the sheen and juicy wet finish as that of a gloss. Wow! I feel well moisturized and hydrated lips as long as the finish stays on my lips while I feel equally soft lips even after removing it off. Even I am most impressed by the color payoff of this particular shade as it imparts deep bright red pigmentation in just one swipe with almost full coverage and hence I find it perfect for beauties with pigmented lips. I never felt the need of second swipe with this shade while I guess it won’t look flaky or cakey unlike lip stains even if we layer it on. It always maintains that wet juicy sheen on my lips which sits comfortably with no feathering or settling in my lip lines. In fact, it gives such youthful plump look over all.

I am sure this shade is going to be ultimate hit among every age group for its youthful, plumping and juicy finish. I am also pleased to see that the shade managed to survive successful 7+ hours on my lips with little budging and transferring onto cutlery/cups but nothing big to be concerned about luckily! It is a stubborn juicy potion which fades onto a softer stain after one heavy meal and still gives me pink red lips upon pursing them but it might be bothering for pigmented dry lips though. But to my surprise, even if the juicy finish dries onto translucent stain, it never feels drying or irritating to my lips.
Whatsoever, beauties with dry parched lips might want a good scrubbing & moisturizing routine prior to applying this lip potion. I feel I am in love with this red and want to wear it every day. I would say just try it to believe what I say. I am definitely going to get the backup of this red potion while I lay my hands on bunch of other shades soon!
