Hello Gorgeous Ladies!
Sharing another Estee Lauder Envy Matte lipstick with you. I thought I would get the review out so that you can take a call on what to pick – once these get released in India next month. Honestly, this colour had not caught my eye when I searched the blogosphere for swatches of this line. However, when I did swatch them in the store, I was drawn to it. It’s one of those colors, which are not flashy or bright, but something which is extremely flattering. I had no choice but to pick it.

The packaging remains the same as the regular “Envy” line – a classic square deep royal blue tube with top and base golden in colour. The top has Estee Lauder engraved on it, so does the inner tube. The lipsticks come in a royal blue cardboard box. The box is seal wrapped in plastic – ensuring hygiene and non-contamination.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick – Unattainable:
Color: The shade is special – it’s a pink with hints of red and plum. It’s not something which catches eyeballs. However, the shade is extremely flattering. It reminds me of Bobbi Brown’s Rose Blossom (reviewed by me earlier) – not too bright, not too dull, not MLBB, but something which looks lovely once you put it on and makes the face look very appealing.
I would suggest you to definitely try this shade on once and see how it works for you. This one is a definite keeper for me.
Texture: The texture of this shade wasn’t as light as Neon Azalea. However, it glided equally smoothly, without any tug or pull. There was no bleeding. The texture was very comfortable and settled to a semi-matte finish in an hour’s time. However, even post settling to a matte, it did not get uncomfortable or drying.
Pigmentation: Excellent pigmentation, 100% color deposit in a single swipe. Love the saturated bold colour as you swipe the lipstick on.
Lasting Power: This one gave even better wear time than Neon Azalea. It lasted for good 7.5 hours or so and still had residual stain which had to be removed with a makeup remover.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick – Unattainable:
- Beautiful shade – lovely and easy to wear!
- Sculpts the lips with insane pigmentation.
- Easy to apply from the tube.
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Color lasts for 7.5 hours.
- Feels very comfortable – there is no dry or stretchy feel.
- The colour hugs the lips nicely – no feathering or bleeding.
- Hides lip pigmentation well.
- Luxe and classy feel to the tube and case!
- Vanilla fragrance.
Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick – Unattainable:
- Ease of availability across India.
- It’s not a fully matte formula – like the liquid lipsticks or MAC’s Retro matte. So, if the word “matte” means the dry finish for you, you would be disappointed.
IMBB Rating:
5/5
Love the shade, love the formula. This is the kind of colour which I know I will keep going back to. It’s a comforting, flattering shade – like Bobbi Brown’s Rose Blossom and Estee Lauder Envy’s Rebellious Rose. There is just something special about these shades. I am pleasantly surprised by this line from Estee Lauder. For a brand which was known for “Grandma’s skin care” has really provided some amazing makeup in terms of quality and colour. You would be pleasantly surprised by some of the colors released in this line – which I will be reviewing shortly.

Thanks Bakul! I’m really enjoying this shade!
It’s such a pretty shade. 🙂 But despite that I might skip it. The reason being that I hardly ever wear deeper shades. I wear semi-neon, bright or muted everyday colors more. Still, I will give it a try at store to see how it looks on me. 😀
