Today, I am bringing the review of another pretty MLBB shade from Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick range – the shade Rose Tea. Estee Lauder lipsticks are famous for the quality and texture and this one is no exception. The day I wore it for the first time, my hubby didn’t know that I had a new shade on my lips, but he said, “you are adorable!” Rest you can imagine that my one foot was in the air and other in the car 😛 I tried a lot to click swatches, but it came out blurred no matter how much I tried. So, I have tried my best to choose a better swatch which can depict the shade. Let’s explore this beauty in detail.
Color so incredible, it leaves your lips wanting more. Maximized impact. Magnified vibrancy, dimension and brilliance. True Vision™ technology takes ordinary color and makes it extraordinary. You’ll love the spectrum of fade-resistant, long-lasting shades, from sublime to vivid. Enriched with lip-loving ingredients, including apricot kernel, shea butter and murumuru butter that leave lips soft and creamy smooth. Each shade comes in the lasting, seductive finish that suits it best: satin Creme or lustrous shimmer.
The actual price is $26, but I got this as GWP with one of my two recent EL hauls. It contains 3.8 gms (0.13 oz).
My Take on Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick – Rose Tea:
Packaging: If you have seen Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipsticks online or used them, you will instantly notice that it’s different than what you see in my clicks. The actual packaging is classy golden with Estee Lauder logo on the lipstick tube and transparent bottom, reflecting the shade of the lipstick. The one I received comes in a simple white packaging, nothing fancy, but since the quality of the lipstick is awesome, I have no complaints at all. It closes with a click and is travel safe in clutch.
Texture and Finish: The lipstick is creamy in texture and feels like an extremely hydrating balm when applied. Because of this texture, it glides on easily, effortlessly with really smooth feeling. The lipstick is non-sticky and feels lightweight on the lips; just like I haven’t applied any thing on my lips. It is really hydrating for dry lips, which I think is the best part. It has a glossy finish, a single lipstick swipe looks like you have applied a MLBB shade and topped it with a clear gloss. Lovely!
Color and Pigmentation: The shade “Rose Tea” looks a dark plum in the bullet, but when applied on lips, it is a MLBB muted rose shade. I was scared to see it before I applied it onto the lips, thinking it would be “one more dark shade that would lay idle in my stash!” But luckily, it turned out to be a subtle shade with beautiful color, texture and finish. This is my most-used office wear shade nowadays. It is good for daily wear and will suit fair, medium and dusky skin tones. The pigmentation is praiseworthy and one swipe deposits enough color on the lips. A maximum of two swipes will make you ready to step out even without a lip liner. It doesn’t transfer much except the glossy finish mark on glasses. The lipstick doesn’t bleed, doesn’t feather, and doesn’t settle into fine lines.
Longevity: The lipstick lasts for 5-6 hours with little water sips and all. If you take a snack or so, it will last 4-5 hours maximum with glossy finish fading evenly. Overall, it fades evenly with no stain on lips.
Let’s take a glimpse on positive and negative points of the product:

Cons of Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick – Rose Tea:
- I am a bit bothered by the synthetic smell; I would have preferred a fruity or floral scent rather than an artificial one, but thankfully, it doesn’t linger on for long.
5 /5 (if we ignore the fragrance, it is 6/5)
This is such a great lipstick that I think everyone should at least try one shade from this range. There is an array of fabulous shades in the range and I am already dreaming of them, can never have enough of lip colors!
