Skin Tone: Fair with warm tones
Today’s review will be on a lipstick from Estee Lauder. When this range launched, I was pretty psyched to try this out, so I got one shade in the matte formula. Let’s see how this worked for me.
There are no rules in Love. Color. Create. Customize. Fun, daring lip color with good-for-you ingredients that help smooth lips and renew moisture. Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipsticks are available in four forward finishes:
– Cremes, Chromes and Shimmers have a deliciously balmy texture.
– Mattes are bold, vibrant, rich and long-lasting, feel weightless.
– Keep that “just applied” look for hours.
– Mix, remix, create your look. There’s so many ways to Love.
Benefits: Ultra Mattes, Shimmer Pearls, Cool Chromes, Edgy Cremes.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Lipstick Blase Buff:
My experience with high-end brands should always have gorgeous packaging in my opinion. Boy, this one is super luxe and it dresses up my vanity table so well. The lipstick tube feels ‘glass-like’ and has a heavy feeling. In reality, it is only the cap that is heavy. Once you remove it, you get to see a normal twist-up lipstick tube. Everything is gold! The shade name is mentioned on the top of the cap with the color. It does feel a bit bulky to carry it around but hey, it’s too good looking to not flaunt it 😀
“Blase Buff” is a lovely peachy n*de. It might be a little tricky for everyone darker than me to pull off. This would flatter only fair skin tones as it might wash out medium to dark skin.
It has a lovely matte texture which is right up my alley. This matte formula is kind of unique because it feels so velvety on lips and also very matte at the same time. It needs some time to set completely and once it does it does not budge. It transfers minimally. The pigmentation is also fairly good.
It is definitely buildable and goes opaque in two coats max. The feel is very light and comfortable on the lips. The color is very unique and not easily dupable I think. It also works as a great lipstick topper to give that extra dimension.
On an average, it lasts for 5.5-6 hours with surviving meals, but it does fade in the process. Sometimes reapplication is required. It never made my lips dry or anything. Sometimes when my lips are not in good shape, it does sit in lines, but exfoliation will help. Otherwise, a great lipstick to own and a versatile shade in my collection.
