Hey Lovely Ladies! As promised, I’m back with another shade from the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy collection. This shade is special because this is what I gifted my mom on Mother’s day (and then borrowed it from her for the review!!).

Packaging:

As I mentioned in my previous review, the packaging for Envy Lipsticks has been changed from the regular golden Pure Color line. The Envy lipsticks are in a classic square deep royal blue tube with top and base golden in colour. The top has Estee Lauder engraved on it, so does the inner tube.

The lipsticks come in a Royal blue cardboard box. The box is seal wrapped in plastic – ensuring hygiene and non-contamination.

My experience with Estee Lauder – Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick – Tumultuous Pink:

The Color: The second shade I pickedwas again a no-brainer for me – its pink fuchsia. The range has 2 Fuchsia shades – Tumultuous pink and Dominant. While this one is pink fuchsia, Dominant is a bit of purple in it. The colour is vibrant and bold but not-garish – its not for the faint hearted. It’s a head turner and you will definitely get noticed with this one on.

Texture – Texture is consistent – it is light-weight, creamy and glides smoothly on the lips – no tug or pull. The colour hugs the lips, sculpting them perfectly, without accentuating fine lines. It was hydrating and very comfortable to wear. Even in the 5th / 6th hour, it did not form any dry patches on the lips.

Pigmentation – The lipstick provides saturated colour pigmentation – about 95 – 100% colour deposit in one swipe. Love how insanely pigmented these are. You can totally forget lip pigmentation or blemishes with these on.

Lasting Power: The claim made by the Company is 6 hours full coverage. It definitely delivers. Rather, it delivers beyond 6 hours as well, though the intensity of colour starts coming down. It leaves behind a healthy pick stain and fades evenly. There was no dry patch or clinging feeling.

One of my close friends who knows me too well was surprised to know that I gave THIS shade to my mom. How did I manage to part with it? She actually asked me, was it because I didn’t like it? No! I loved the colour and that’s the reason I gave it to my mom. I think I have this shade in pretty much all brands. And I have always gifted shades of red to my mom and I really wanted to give her a pink. I gave her a choice between this Estee Lauder – Fuchsia Fever. She chose this! Rest is history. I wanted mom to enjoy the luxury of such beautiful shade and texture.
