Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick – Cranberry Review
Hello Ladies,

I love food! And I love lipsticks (what an understatement!!) But when lipsticks are named after fruits, I love them more – shade names like Cranberry, Raspberry, Guava, Watermelon, Berry, Strawberry, Plum….do you get my point? The colours sound vividly luscious! You want to try them 🙂
So, apart from having Raspberry Shimmer from the Estee Lauder Long Lasting Lip Colour (reviewed earlier by Rati), I also picked up Cranberry from Estee Lauder’s Signature Lipstick Line.

Product Description:
Color so creamy, it seduces every curve of your lips. Love Your Lips. You know this is an extraordinary lipstick from the moment it touches your lips:
- Full-coverage color has true character and depth.
- Finish is lustrous for a smooth, sophisticated shine.
- Rich, hydrating formula feels light and comfortable.
- Hours of moisture, hours of wear.
Price:
$22.50 in US / In India @ INR 1735.
Packaging:
Estee Lauder Signature line is a specific golden packaging – a heavy golden ribbed casing. The packaging is eye-catching and Luxe. The heft definitely adds to the luxe factor. The golden casing has the EL logo on top. However, as is common with most upmarket brands, again, there is no colour indicator except for the sticker at the bottom of the lipstick.
My Experience with Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick – Cranberry:
I have reviewed this line earlier with Radiant Wine. The product seemed consistent across the line. The claims about it being hydrating are actually true. A detailed review follows:
Color: The colour is a cranberry – Surprise! Surprise!! LOL! I expected the colour to be a bright cranberry pink – however, the colour is not loud or neon-ish. On the contrary, it’s a very elegant shade of cranberry pink. It’s a slightly dark pink and has a tinge of plum and brown. Unlike Radiant Wine, this one has no shimmer, just a glossy finish.
The colour would do well for the winter look. This could easily be replacing my neon picks this winter.
Texture: The texture is very creamy and goes on smoothly without any tug or pull. You do not need a lip balm below this. It’s fairly moisturizing. I am surprised by the hydration this provides, because I see a lot of lip balms providing nourishment while on. While this one continues to give hydration, even when the colour has disappeared from the lips.
Pigmentation: A single swipe deposits about 70% color. You do need to build it with a second swipe to get an even application, especially for my lips which are perpetually dehydrated. I’m still waiting for Team IMBB to send me a parcel of Lush or Fabulips lip scrub they keep talking about!!! LOL!!!
Lasting Power: The product lasted about 4.5-5 hours, which is decent for a moisturizing lipstick; however, it falls short of the “hours of wear” claim by the Company. My lips felt better having worn this, than they feel post application of my usual lip balm (Nivea – I know I need to find a better product. There is one lip balm currently in transit and I wait its arrival anxiously!)
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick – Cranberry:
- A beautiful winter shade and fairly unique, its a neutral, slightly dirty, but still beautiful cranberry pink – very elegant.
- Good pigmentation – two swipes are sufficient to build up to the colour in the tube.
- Easy to apply from the tube, don’t really need a brush.
- The lipstick applies easily, no tug or pull!
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- There was no feathering or bleeding.
- It was fairly moisturizing, lips felt supple even 3-4 hours after the lipstick had disappeared, which is way better than what my current lip balm is delivering.
- Luxurious and beautiful packaging.
Cons of Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick – Cranberry:
- Estee Lauder products are not as easily available in India except select Shopper’s Stop counters.
- Not very long lasting, as against the Company claims.
IMBB Rating:
Yes, a 4.8/5 product.
I am liking this line from Estee Lauder. Though the colours are not bold and neon, its delivering a subtle elegant touch. The colour and the packaging go hand in hand – very classy. I deducted a little because it doesn’t deliver colour for hours, as the Company suggests, however, it does deliver moisturization for hours!

Yes it is Tanvi! TIll the arrival of Tom Pecheux and lanuch of the Pure Colour range, EL was pretty much into classic, elegant colours. Now they too have all shades of neon – so to speak! This one is from the classic Signature range.

Hi 🙂 This is such a pretty colour. Good review. I think I’ll be buying it. It’s so beautiful. Just a tip, you have not filled your lip with the lipstick fully. I think it would look nicer if you apply the lipstick till the end of your lipline because you have very nice lips but it doesnt show when you apply very little lipstick.
