My Experience with Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Lift and Fan Mascara
I have been obsessed with this mascara lately. Since I am not much of a false lashes wearer, I am always looking for a brilliant mascara that would give drama and oomph to my lashes. And when I find it, I only want to sing songs about it and share it with you all. 😀

I have been a huge fan of Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume mascara. It keeps finding place in my vanity every now and then. I’d say I am a bit more biased towards the knockout version right now. 😀 But my mind is thinking of combining the two. That would be a match made in heaven.

This mascara comes packed in a deep metallic grey sleek tube. There are swirls of black embossed throughout. It comes with a thin mascara wand. The brush has shorter bristles towards the top and bigger bristles towards the bottom. This is probably my favourite kind of a brush. The shorter bristles help reach the very inner and outer corners of the lashes. And the longer bristles help coat the rest of the lashes. Also the brush is not too thick so it helps give a better control over the lashes. You can really get to the roots of the lashes without worrying about it hurting your eyes or ruining your eye makeup. The brush picks up just the right amount of product so you don’t have to worry about putting excess product on your lashes.

I also like that it is a black-black mascara and gives the much need intensity to the lashes. You really don’t need to wear falsies with this one because it is just so gorgeous on its own. It gives a nice lift and curl to the lashes. It also separates the lashes nicely and does not make your lashes crunchy. You can totally build it up without it going all gloopy. It gives a nice length and ‘lift’ to my lashes. I’d say it gives life to my lashes. It has never irritated my eyes ever. Some evenings I combine it with a volumizing mascara and that gives that crazy drama to my lashes and I love it.

It does not feather or smudge even after a long day wear. It is not a waterproof mascara but it is definitely water resistant. I have been  wearing it constantly in this crazy heat and it has never let me down. It takes a bit of effort to remove but I don’t mind it.

This is not a volumising mascara but it does exactly what it claims to your lashes – lifted, separated and fanned. To get the best of both world in terms of volume and length, it is always good to combine two types of mascaras.

This definitley goes in my list of top 10 fav mascaras ever. Highly recommend it.
