Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher #2 Strawberry Choux Review

Today I am reviewing an Etude Hosue blush in a shade I thought would suit me well. I have had bad experiences with blushes from Korean brands because their shade range, in my opinion, is rather “racist”. They are exclusively meant for cool-toned, ultra-fair beauties. I do not hoard blushes and at a time keep only one or, perhaps at most, two blushes that I use for my everyday makeup needs. I added this blush to my cart only because the shade fascinated me, and since I know that I can only wear cool shade blushes, I thought perhaps this shade might work for me.

Price: $7.80
Product Description:
Pong pong pong. Simply tap skin with the lovely puff to have pinkish cheeks full of bright vitality.

How to Apply:
Take an adequate amount with the built-in lovely puff by lightly tapping once or twice and apply on the cheeks by stroking the cheeks.

My Experience with Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher #2 Strawberry Choux:

This product comes in a cute, cookie shaped, circular packaging. The bottom half of the packaging holds the blush in an aluminium pan. The bottom half is in the color of the blush and the flip lid is made up of translucent plastic. A cute, fluffy applicator with a bow on top is provided. The product comes in a decent size pan and will last a while but I don’t see myself using it at all so it might last forever.

The shade is cool-toned pink, and since I exclusively use only cool toned blushes, I thought this shade will be a perfect match for me. Unfortunately, this shade is chalky – it appears chalky even in the finger swatches. A product with a white cast is justified so long as it contains SPF. Otherwise, I see no purpose to add a white chalky appearance to products. This is my biggest qualm about Korean makeup products.

First, they don’t cater to all the skin tones and second, they have unnecessary white cast. This shade might appear pretty on very pale skin tone and add the desired hue on it but that makes this shade for a very niche crowd. And since most of us like rosy tinge without a white cast, I don’t see a lot of consumers reaching for this shade.

Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher #2 Strawberry Choux Top

The product appears chalky but, fortunately, it has a good texture. It feels like both a creamy and powdery product. It can be picked up easily with a fluffy blush brush, applied on the cheeks and blended into a seamless finish. Since the texture of the product impressed me so well, I do recommend it in other shades. I prefer wearing cool-toned blushes so as not to accentuate the blue, dark circles under the eye.

Etude House Lovely Cookie Blusher #2 Strawberry Choux with Puff

This product is affordable and since it is by the brand Etude House I hope it is well made and is gentle on the skin. This product comes in 5 different shades so there is at least one color for all of us. It does contain talc and people who are allergic to it should avoid it.
