Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50 Review

Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50 Review

Hello gorgeous ladies,

Every religion advises to respect teachers and IMBB is a teacher too for all of us; IMBB has taught me how to write, how to express my opinion, gave me the confidence to share my views publicly, gave the courage to interact and induced awareness about makeup and beauty. But there is one more aspect to it, IMBB has taught me how to click photographs 😀 – like how to use fabrics for backgrounds, how to use household things as platform and use decoration pieces and flowers as props and make my clicks appealing to get the attention of readers :P. Anyway, to emphasize the word, I can’t increase the font size, so I am using capital letters to say “THANK YOU IMBB.”

Etude House Sun Prise SPF 50 Moisturiser

Last time, a friend gave me Etude House Blusher which turned out to be a fake one, leaving me thoroughly embarrassed six feet under the ground!!! I am somehow a superstitious person (my horoscope also confirms that), so I even purchase my medications from the most authentic place. How could I revert the practice for cosmetics. So this time, I made a purchase on my own from the Etude House official counter – I bought a sun block moisturizer.  Let’s see if this one worked for me.

Product Description:

Waterproof UV Defense moisturizer whitens skin with Niacinamide. Formulated with Mangosteen, Lotus Flower and Aloe extracts for skin soothing relief.

Ingredients:

Ingredients are listed in Korean language, so I am unable to read them, but the SA told me it’s a paraben-free product.

Price:

Around $7 for 70 gm (varies from place to place), Made in Korea.

Packaging:

Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50+ comes in a cream colored tube with sea green cap which closes tightly. It can be kept upside down in vanity. The prints on the tube are quite colourful; making it look cute and attractive. Also, the soft and squeezable tube dispenses ample amount of moisturiser from the nozzle in one go. It is very lightweight too.

My Take on Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50:

The white sun block moisturiser has an ideal consistency – neither thick nor runny. When applied, it spreads easily on skin, blending to a natural finish quickly. Except for that, it leaves a negligible white cast on the areas where you have facial hair. This isn’t that much noticeable for fair to medium skin tones but might be slightly visible on dusky skin.  On application, it feels a little heavy but absorbs to a feather light feel within a minute or two; making you feel like you have worn nothing on your skin.  It has a very pleasant fragrance, which is not overpowering. The fragrance is neither floral nor fruity; I feel it is just like the innocent fragrance you feel when you hold a baby close, strange, isn’t it?

Coming to the performance, it claims to be a waterproof UV Defense Moisturizer with Niacinamide, Mangosteen, Lotus Flower and Aloe extracts. I am not interested in going deep into benefits of niacinamide etc., because I purchased this product mainly for sun protection, not to use it as a fairness moisturiser because I believe that these products can only improve skin tone by reducing tanning rather than changing basic skin pigmentation. So, the SPF 50+ factor is impressive and also the paraben-free claim.

Summers are merciless here, this moisturizer keeps me matte for 4-5 hours if I stay indoors without any shine on my t-zone. However, when I roam and drive in the sun for hours, my t-zone gets oily with anything within max 1-2 hours and so is the case with this moisturiser. Therefore, I can’t blame Etude House Sun Prise Moisturizer for producing oil on my t-zone. Also, I have developed two different skin tones on my arms because I usually prefer to wear half sleeves; so this has proved to be a rescue remedy moisturiser for my hands and feet too. After using it for 2 weeks, I am completely satisfied with its effectiveness. It is not at all sticky, very light and surprisingly matte finish for SPF 50. I have combination skin and it doesn’t clog my pores. However, oily skin beauties should use it first on a trial basis and dry skin girls need not worry about anything.

Pros of Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50:

  • Contains SPF 50+ sunscreen.
  • Ideal consistency lotion.
  • Absorbs quickly with matte finish.
  • Blends easily.
  • Non-greasy, non-sticky and lightweight on skin.
  • Can be used on any part of the body.
  • A very good moisturiser for dry and cold weather.
  • Keeps t-zone shine free for 4-6 hours (when you are indoors).
  • Outdoors, the t-zone stays oil free for 2-3 hours (may vary from person to person).
  • Doesn’t make skin excessively oily.
  • Doesn’t clog pores.
  • Best for dry and combination skin types.
  • Pleasant fragrance.
  • Lightweight, travel-friendly packaging.
  • Claims to be paraben free.

Cons of Etude House Sun Prise All Proof Moisturiser SPF 50:

  • Dusky skin tones might observe slight whitish cast on application.
  • Does not control oil to a great extent.
  • I fear oily and acne-prone skin types might break out with this in summers.

IMBB Rating:

4.8/5
